Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I didn't really like this. Especially the credits. All those effects weren't needed. I even saw some downloaded premade AE effects T_T
The amv itself wasn't unique in a single way. Should have done more with it

Must've mixed it up with a project file I saw last month. Ah well^^; Doesn't really change anything

Soamark: Spoil was pretty good. I loved the animated credits Darius did, they were so cool. But umm, I don't know how you came to that conclusion. Are you implying that Darius made the credits of Spoil with some premade AE effect?

The beginning was particularly well synced, but there were a few visually jerky moments that seemed out of place. Overall the whole things seemed completely random and that only weirder when you suddenly jump into Waka Laka. I think they probably would have made better separate videos rather than a single one.

it seems like a decent experimental piece, but it doesn't seem to have very particularly strong direction.

It was good over all, but I agree with Snow puma that it should have been 2 different vids.

Well, it seems that every effect is AE preset for you. You have qiute a side-vision, my friend. she made that with Particle Illusions, really. Maybe you are not an expert (dispite of you consider yourself to that kidn of man) to distinguish AE presets from another kind of effects. It's a promising first "developing towards quality" experiment from her. Well done Lümi !

Using particle illusion is still using preset stuff, so it doesn't make much of a difference really.. Except particle illusion only has crappy presets, mostly unfitting for any decent amv. And he never said he considers himself an expert for pointing out these are presets, there might be some AE plugins that look exactly like this. Who knows, who cares? They're still presets in the end.
