Sweet Things [yeah, Crackz, finally]

The description is pretty much there on the page.

A No action/fight scene Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children AMV played to Tiesto's Sweet Things.

Wtf was I thinking?

But let me just say I think I was in over my head on this one. This is only my third AMV and I really think I stepped it up for this. Crackthesky was a huge help and without his advice I don't think it would have ever been completed.

Well, let me know what you all think.

Ohh, Sweet Things, sure gets!

EDIT: I was amazed how good you took advantage of the various sounds trance music offers to sync to. Although some of the sync felt slightly off, overall it was very well done. The song was cut poorly at some parts, but that's not that fatal. Enjoyed the scene selection too. Cool video.

thanks much. Yeah cutting here and there was extremely difficult. I didn't want to just end the song so I cut out some of the chorus. The beat syncing to different areas was difficult for me as well since I went heavy in some areas.

Its almost impossible to make a none fighting amv w/o looping the same scenes over n over but somehow you did it I'm amazed that being said very good syncing and scene selections 10/10

Thanks wardrone. Aye it was hard to keep myself from using the same scene twice especially with my 40 min of usable footage from this movie. I actually caught myself using some scenes more than once and I had to change them up.

I'm afraid it just didn't do anything for me. A big issue was your compression was such that I could see pixels on my HDTV, and that distracted me throughout the entire video.

Good to note. Is there any way this is fixable? I know when I watch it on my monitor it has no distortion. Then again it is only a 22" and is not HD. The compression is MP4 but is only 840x480...

Could that have something to do with it?

Your container is MP4. Your codec is something else entirely, and depending on the bit rate, yeah, it probably does. I'd have to see what your original source looked like, not to mention how that differs from your export.

And I don't mean distortion. I mean what I said, blocking. I only have a 22" myself, although it is a Samsung SyncMaster HDTV monitor with full HDTV capability. Whether that has anything to do with it or not, I don't know, but I doubt it. When I full screen your video, I can see macroblocking, and they're pretty sizeable, like maybe a square centimeter... That's highly distracting. Take Driftroot's Bustin for example: no such blocking; it's crystal clear. Even at 848x480, which is high enough for my videos, I should be able to have excellent clarity at full screen.
