Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

DBZ AMV- Vegeta: Pride is Enough

Post by OchoCMoneyyShot » Thu Aug 14, 2008 4:59 am

This is my first AMV, and I'm looking for opinions on it from people with a lot of experience with AMVs. I spent about 3 days working on it, and put a lot of effort into making the music sync up with video. Please let me know what you think of it, preferably on the YouTube comments, as well as here. This is my first of hopefully many videos. Thanks in advance guys.

I don't know why YT is frowned upon here, but if you want to watch my video, just fix the link I posted. Also, make sure to watch in High Quality, it makes a ton of difference.

Please read the last bunch of posts. Especially those from Chiii and Emong.

Hi,

This page don´t want any connection to YT in any way. That´s why there is the wordfiller boochsack for it. For additional info you can read this post:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=73475

That´s so far for this point. So because this site wants to be a cataloge for every amv ever created there is a rule about announcements. You need to enter your amv in your a-m-v.org profile videocatalog.
I suggest to read this thread about this issue:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=28506
Enter your vid in the catalog or this thread gets locked soon.

If you need help on how to use this site we can offer you this guide:

It will explain you on how to enter videos in your catalog. This site even offers you free file hosting for your HQ video files. Isn´t that nice? Yeah it´s for free! Anyway pledging is always nice

You actualy want feedback?

#1 Well... waiting for some people to reply your thread...

#2 Doing the opinion exchange. Yes this site has a special rating system and there is a subforum just for exchanging opinions on videos. Have a look at it:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=6

#3 There is an IRC chatroom dedicated for beta testing videos. You have a video that´s nearly finished and you want to get some advice on what things might better get edited and changes? Use the chatroom!
Maybe they give you some opinions on your vid, but I don´t want to promise things when I´m not sure.

Welcome to the org!
I might watch your vid when I have time for it, but I would prefer, like most of the other people on this site, a HQ file wich I can download from your video entry.
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases. :amv:

Actually OchoCMoneyyShot did enter the vid into the catalouge, and provided us a link where we can watch it...

He/she did nothing wrong rule-wise... unless i overlooked a rule that says you must upload the vid here...

Though the only problem would be ppl here don't care about utube links anyhow, so uploading the vid here as well is not a bad idea ;)

Also Bauzi I'm gonna ctrl+c/ctrl+v your post next time :P

@OchoCMoneyyShot:
Yeah than I have to appologize. Things like people coming from the tube and posting various links to theire vids without entering the vid in our catalog happens too often. That´s why some of us already expect such threads to be the same case.

Most people here just like more the a-m-v.org links with the download for the vid. We really usaly don´t care much abou streaming sites like yt. Mods often add the video entries and edit them into the original post.
Also Bauzi I'm gonna ctrl+c/ctrl+v your post next time
Me too xD Just the VidID tag is missing in my post or something else too?

Maybe. But why ruin it for that last twenty percent?

Anyway, that post is going in my notepad for future use.

Pfff, compared to some other people I was being nice. |:

I'm just going to copy/paste what Ying said in another topic, even though this guy apparently DID catalogue it...which...If he did I don't understand why he bothered posting a youtube link. Either way,

If a new member doesn't take the time to understand how a community works, why should the community bend over backwards to accommodate for their ignorance? Yes, I'll concede that there are plenty of howling retards on the forums who think it's still hilarious to copy age-old jokes, but the reality is that if a new person can't take the five minutes to recognize that this place is not boochsack, then they probably don't care enough about the hobby for us to care about them anyway.

So what? We need a point to start to be more nice if you ask me.

When I go to a new site to post something, I want to post something now. Not later after checking out the site. Usualy you find out about the site from being active not before you´re active. This is something that you can´t change. You can say that it´s wrong, but all the new people will act the same way.

This site´s name is a-m-v.org. It´s not hard to think that this site is dedicated to any AMV on any site.

a-m-v.org link > boochsack link
I think you´re a bit ignorant here. This moral just comes up with being active on this site. Is it that hard to imagine that people still want to post theire boocksack links? No.
You and me are for longer on this site. We have a completly different moral and point of seeing things.
person can't take the five minutes to recognize that this place is not boochsack,
It takes a good amount of time to recognize how this site and it´s ethnics work. There is just nothing clear at the start of being active on this site that says:
a-m-v.org != boochsack

When I see threads like:
"Hi! xXVegetaxX KiLl0r here. You can check out my YT channel to watch my AMVs. Please leave comments there, because I won´t come along here again ^^' "

... and I saw such a thread! This is were I say: "Flame him until his eyes bleed" for being such a fag who´s just horny for views and comments. This is like spam or bad ads. Yes this was his first post in the forum after he registered the same day.
At least he took some time to upload an avatar
