you get props for using Sola as your first amv source :O

/downloads

Edit: I see alot of effort in this for a first video, I shall give you props on that. I do have alot of nitpicks, but I think I will do an op later after work, since you were asking for critism, but the most annoying I think was the lipflap and you held on to some of the scenes a little too long. This improved in the middle to end of the video however. Your definitely off to a good start though, I enjoyed it dispite some of the flaws. These things will probably improve as you gain more experience in feeling the flow of the video.

Oh and that was a very clean encode, but you don't need those black borders on top and bottom, I'd crop those off.

oh wow, I never saw this before :O

This is a good reference video to compare to yours and learn from (if you havn't seen it yet already) , as batto is an awesome editor. (and I'm speaking more of flow to the music and the lipflap stuff, not necessarily the effects)

This is awesome. Didn't see that before, so maybe it looks like a fake of anime and music =(.

Ic. I will try to follow the music in my next AMV and also try to switch the scenes more. In this one I tried to work with the mask function of Sony Vegas. It's hard but doable^^

Thanks for the hints. I will definetly try to improve

I've already seen a video with the same anime and song. O.o

*edit* Still pretty good I have to say for a first video ,except I think you should of added more scenes. There wasn't a whole lot of lyrical sync.

interesting O:

/me gets O.o

while its "good" for a first, you could use a lot of work with flow and all that stuff deshi said..

I guess Batto! isn't as "original" as he thinks he is... (oh burn!) lol!

but I just wanted to add a note in here that when you make a video of the same combination as a more popular (than you) editor, you will often get their friends (and fans) on your thread pointing out that "its been done"... I've seen this happen several times...

there are ways to keep this from happening though: when you get an idea you should look up the combination on the org, on the tube, and any other popular amving places to see if it's been done.

If it has been done you have a few options still:
1. don't watch the other videos and make yours anyways knowing that watching other people's videos will eventually "taint" your original vision. Then watch it after you are done editing to see "how similar" they are. (The option I usually go for, unless the editor is like fecking awesome, then I go for #3)

2. watch their video and kick their ass in editing :3 cause you can so pwn their suck ass editing.

3. watch their video and realize they are better than you, so there is no point in even attempting to make yours now and give up on the idea.

4. watch their video and give up on life because you are a sad footnote in amving.

either way, no stress, life happens.

At least it's not linkinball z

I think I'll go with that.

Anyway, for your vid, very nice for a first. As most others have pointed out, flow and pace were the two biggest problems for you on this, I was thinking that perhaps a few fades would have helped with some scene transitions at parts.

As for effort, I liked that you went out of your way to throw some in without turning it into overkill, and honestly, even though I watched Batto's right before I watched yours, I still enjoyed it thoroughly, which speaks volumes really.

Honestly, for a first, you should be really proud of this, and I can only see you getting better with help. Will look forward to any future releases from you.
