I didn't like the glowy flashes ... I liked the flickering static ... I liked the live action images ... I was hoping you'd subtly change it by adding or removing sections as those scenes repeated ... layering as the music layer was cool.

Well then, this certainly was different. I liked the general idea behind this AMV. It felt weird when I started watching, but it grew on me the longer I watched. I'd give it 4/5 with an added for originality. You should warn people that it could induce seisures though
