Bittersweet - MegaCon 2009 Drama Winner
Hey! I recently uploaded a 5 Centimeters Per Second AMV called "Bittersweet". It won the Best Dramatic Video Award at Megacon this past weekend so I figured maybe people would like it. It's a Mega Upload download since the a-m-v.org uploads are offline right now. So, yeah here it is if you have time to check it out ^_^

vid ID is your friend. So here you go:
Also you should change your link to indirect. I may check this out later when I have time.

Oh sorry, I'm sort of new to all of this. I'll fix it though.

*gets for Sigur Ros*
(and here's a tip. when announcing a video, it's typically better to have your subject line be something other than "New (insert anime or band name here) AMV". It just won't get as much attention, especially if it's something as overused as 5cm)
(heh... although admittedly, if you had said "New Sigur Ros AMV" I would've been all over it that much faster... but it's still a somewhat general guideline)

Well if it really bothers you that much, I did take what you said into consideration... And I don't think you can give opinions for indirect links. But you could tell me what you thought of it here, since all that really matters to me honestly is how people thought of the video.HarimaKenji wrote:wait, this is not about pictures? what? then ill get that shit, and include the /-op command on the /getsBloodyserpent wrote:Well for now, all I really care about is the video ^_^HarimaKenji wrote:you should clean the pic on your profile, it hurts my eyes.

Re: Bittersweet - MegaCon 2009 Drama Winner
In all honesty, I wanted to like this video more than I did. As you guessed, I love the song. Sigur Ros is my favorite band and this is one of my favorite songs of theirs. So you get immediate brownie points for having great taste. And even though it's become very over-used, I still do like 5 Centimeters Per Second. There were several parts of the video that I did enjoy, but overall there were just too many cuts that felt out of place or random. I'm not saying that every single beat of the song needs to be timed to. I think you can do creative and impactful editing without always sticking to those conventions. However, there is such a thing as flow, and for a lot of the video, the flow kept getting broken up. I commend your efforts and look forward to seeing more stuff from you, but as far as this video goes.... eh :\ I just couldn't bring myself to really grasp onto it.
