What do you get when you combine Fullmetal Alchemist and Harry Potter and a Half-Blood Prince? Something Half-Blood, Full Metal, and totally awesome! (OK, well, that last part is just my opinion.)
Without further ado, here is my ACen 2009 Theme category entry!
(P.S. Thanks to all who gave feedback in my other thread about releasing AMVs before a contest!)
(P.P.S. The title does say Trailer 1, and yes, a Trailer 2 is in the works which is on track to be even more epic!)

Ha, That was fun I liked it XD.
Quality just needs minor tweaking that can be fixed easily in AVIsynth. There were a select few parts that had some blockage going on also.
Still solid trailer. The part about being "the chosen one" with Ed and Winry made me lol
4/5

Thanks for the feedback!
What quality tweaks are you referring to? I realize there's some graininess and such. I think it's mostly due to the recompression to MJPEG and H264 stuff... My MJPEGs were 6Mbps, created from DVD rips, and my DVD rips were 3Mbps H264. The blocking artifacts seem to show up when I try to do any sort of color correction, but I don't really know how to fix them.
If you could lend some AviSynth expertise in this department it would be most appreciated. I know the basics but don't quite know the full power of the program yet...

I'd be happy to. I'll look into cleaning the file I downloaded. Just a couple of questions, did you convert your dvd rips to mjpegs and edit with those? Either way add me to your MSN and AIM and we can look at some screen shots of the video before compression.chui101 wrote:Thanks for the feedback!
