Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

"What About Now"

My latest Eureka SeveN AMV! I made it for an AMV Battle against my friend. If played in Quicktime, the sync might be off a bit.
I consider it to be my best (or second best) AMV.

Just to let you know, the link goes to the homepage of this site. You may want to fix that. For now I got you:

Also, vidID makes your life easier. On your video's information page, you will see a picture of a chain next to "Information" click it to get your vidID tag. Also, uploading this to local will allow the site to encode it for streaming.

anyways /gets

EDIT: Also your download link is considered 'indirect'

so um... I was talking this video over with a... "friend"

think of it as an #amvreview revival

here ya go
Spoiler :
megaupload?
boo

lol
why
learn to upload
yeah, I can tell from the vid description it's not a masterpiece...
I can tell from the username it's not a masterpiece, If you'll afford me a bit of judgemental caution
nope, no clue how you'd know that from a username
username based on anime they are editing to = bad sign
lol... surely e7 is the exception
it is not so friend, although less caution would be used here then say...xxxnarutoawesomexxx releasing a naruto video
hey, at least they avoided putting a number in their name
true, but let me watch this and see
okay

AR fail?
two seconds in
yes
aspect ratio is fucked

masking lawl
but they can time something to a beat
just... AR fail
don't care for the editing, but it's not BAD
flashes are rough
bad effects
indeed
audio is fairly crappy as well

bad effects are still done in time though
okay I'll give it that
listening on headphones, and even I can tell the audio is crap
no more dots!
scene selection isn't halfassed. they got that right
true
I wonder how they did the masking. it's inconsistent, some's passable, some's not
never a fan of lip flap, but I'll give them a pass here
wait, is that lip sync?

yeah, there's an attempt at it
oh gord I think it is
okay so that wasn't horrible
the technical bits were the main issue

wait, wait, in short... star rating?
I'd actually give it a three
mostly because of the scene selection and story progression
a rare case where I'll give them a break on lack of technical know how.

hmm... a three seems fair, but I'm giving it a three and a half... for the effort and timing and e7bias
very well

Thanks LittleAtari! I fixed my mistakes in my first post (well, for the most part anyways.) I'll look into the vidID thing (and I'll need to download a new FTP Client in order to upload it locally, because my old one's trial expired.)
I appreciate the AMV Review, MeleeChampion. Would that be 3 (or 3.5 : D) stars out of 5, or out of 10? I'll keep everything in mind the next time I upload an AMV here. =) Also, I wasn't really aiming for a lip sync of any kind: I just wanted good masking. ^^;; If I decided to, I would put lip sync in (but it always ends up looking a bit strange in my AMVs anyways. ^^;; )

Actually that was out of five as per the usual org star system. Yeah, we're generous and maybe a bit too forgiving.

yeah it's hardly a masterpeice (and whoooo the small!! get yourself some dvds to rip seriously) but I do enjoy the unbridled enthusiasm shown lol... it's SO mediocre :o (and that's a good thing :/) 2/5 from me, not cuz I didn't enjoy it, but cuz you can do better with a little experience and scene selection (collecting all the sappy scenes is just way too easy)... and better material o.0 (I mean DVDs, E7 is ok, not my favorite, but ok) sorry, I know this sounds mean, maybe even downright rude. but advice like this never comes off nice. I'm not biting your head off.

also I suggest leech ftp, it's free and it's what I use. I don't think it works over 2gb though... but you shouldn't be moving anything THAT large EVER. The no lipping thing didn't bother me... in fact I prefer it like that and, if it looks bad by all means DON'T do it lol.
