As The Cherry Blossoms Fall

Post by Angelyco » Tue Jul 28, 2009 1:30 pm

This is my first time editing an AMV myself. I really need some feedback on this. I love my video, but there are some jerky/choppy scenes in the final version that I believe had to do with deinterlacing, which I had some problems with trying to find the right script to use. At first, the jerky scenes didn't bother me very much, but the more I watch this video, I really want to go back and fix this and make it the best I possibly can.

The opening and ending clips are examples of what I am talking about, and there are more throughout the video. I would really like some advice on the following, if possible:
1. What could I have done differently when deinterlacing to prevent this problem, if that's what caused it?
2. Is there a way I can clean up the video now, after editing? At some point in the future I might go back and fix the source clips if I have to, but if I could fix it now, that would be spectacular.

Thank you!

Like if it was animated for this song

Very nice!

PS: I just want to remind you about the scene in the end, where they cross the railroad... They are going too fast. It doesn't look natural :nono:

I know, I had issues with that when I was editing. I didn't think I could chop out any more of the scene to slow it down at the time and still make sense; I have fixed it since just for myself.

Thanks for all of the comments, it's nice to hear that people are enjoying it!

I would still like some feedback about the jerky scenes if someone can help out :)
