Musta been some kind of epic problem to make you edit like this. Anyway this amv is proof I can still enjoy very simply edited amvs as long as they capture the mood/flow of a simple song well.Chiiisus wrote:I was in the mood to edit something like this
Well crap, I was feelin awesome before I watched this.
Guy doesn't get girl ending = but for makin me feel like I just watched a different ending of the anime though your title makes me think the idea behind the ending was she was waiting for him to come back hence "promise"
Either way 4/5

If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

If it wasn't for the (at times) really choppy frame rate, I would've loved this.
Still really nice though, you got the mood down real nice, except maybe for the very end.
Blaha!
Other than that great job!

Re: [Re-Evo] Promise.
Wow. Talk about capturing a mood!
One of the better videos I've seen that tries to capture the sadness that is Kanon and done it in a compelling and simplified manner.
Editing was really complimentary to the audio and the video, capturing the slow/sad nature of Kanon, while at the same time capturing the beat and flow of the song and weaving together a lovely tale that people [including myself] that hasn't seen Kanon to toally "GET" what it was all about. Which is a hard feat to accomplish in most AMV's.
If I had single complaint it'd be in the concept/originality department because Kanon videos with this type of concept has been done pretty frequently. Nothing wrong with the formula used, but something/anything new integrated in the video would have been awesome. I hate making this gripe on videos, but it's something that I feel needs stated. xD
Overall, very "entertaining" in the sense that I enjoyed watching the drama of the video unfold. Although it makes me wonder about your state of mind whilst editing this.
EDIT: Also, I saw nothing wrong visually with the quality that would have impeded my enjoyment.
4/5 [/goes to leave OP and QC]

Some parts were really in the right mood, but in all I just couldn't get into this. Good effort though. 3/5

Re: [Re-Evo] Promise.
Really good job keeping it strictly Yuuichi and Ayu centric. That had me bubbling with joy Though the main characters of the series, they don't receive as much attention as they should.
Nice job with getting their story in there. In my opinion, it felt just slightly empty at first -- just emotional clips set to a fitting song. But that ending clip where she was sitting on the bench was the perfect conclusion. Very good sentimental AMV. Props for making something good with Kanon. It's an anime that just needs more love in general. 4/5
