Bea$t - Beast Within (Berserk manga)
Well for me this work was quite an experiment. I was trying to make action from static images and it turned out that it's not so easy as I thought... And this video took almost six months.
But after all here it is.
P.S. My english is still put me to the blush

Hi Beast ! I love Berserk too , and i would like to create an Amv on it . (M@D is more apropriate xD )
Technicaly , your Amv is Very good , but according to me , there is too much After effect . It's a Graphical explosion but we don't know where you want we to go . Intense emotions are not very present . But Good job for your work , it's pretty insane !
So : A big Technique , but the montage miss T-T.
Ps: Omg, you are the Creator of " Box Of Sorrow" ?!

Effectwise it was really impressive. Especially the cathedral scene and the drop. That was good job. I thought about a manga amv with a different manga for years and I thought about many ways on how to bring life to the pictures and make good 2.5D scenes. I only had a handfull of reverences yet. This one is a great inspiration and best reference so far. My song would be set with a way more slow pace and atmosphere and the manga is a sci fi one, so this will be still an interesting project.
What I don't like is the camera motion. It feels a bit... pointy? Uhm did you worked with ease-keypoints and null objects for the camera if you used After Effects? I'm interessted if you did.
Sorry I can't resist: In my opinion such music sucks, but your video was awesome. I love most compositions.

Yeah, it mostly was only ease-keypoints. I don't really see advantages of using null object But I wish my camera motion was smootherBauzi wrote:Uhm did you worked with ease-keypoints and null objects for the camera if you used After Effects? I'm interessted if you did.

Simply amazing effects work. You did a good job of bringing it to life with constant motion, wich turned out very well given your source was comprised entirely of stills. The only thing that keeps me from re-viewing this video more is that the song just isn't my taste... I applaud you for your efforts though, good luck in the contest

Null-object linked with cameras give you a huge advantage for smooth motion. There are very good arguments for it. Hard to explain for me, but when you watch this tutorial you will totaly understand the advantages:Bea$t wrote:Yeah, it mostly was only ease-keypoints.
