Out of curiosity I checked out said forum. Here's what I found:
There you have it, "internet rumors" are the source. As much as I'd like to see a movie, if it isn't even announced yet then you shouldn't get your hopes up.Their FAQ thread about the movie wrote:There has been no Official announcement of an Eureka Seven movie, however, there are tons of rumors all over the internet, and the one thing they hold common is that there WILL BE a movie based off of the show.

I'd eat it up too. I can't get enough, give me the games (even though they're not very good), the manga, gimmie more E7!aniforever wrote:Well only time will tell but i belive that there will be a eureka seven movie
... thing is, others feel the same way and start rumors that just give false hope.
I think if they wanted to do a movie by now they would have at least started on it. I don't think they'd let too much time pass since the series ended (a year ago in Japan) for fear of a loss of interest.

there was something that bothered me about the final episode. i think it gave the audience to much of what it wanted- that is to say, i think it over indulged in the reunion between Eureka and Renton.
also, i noticed that there was a lack of diversity in the tension of the episode. what i mean by that is that in a normal episode, the tension rises and falls about two or three times before the end of the ep. in ep 50, there was only one rise and one fall. the whole episode was only one arch of tension. you could say this was because it was the final episode, but if they meant it like that, it just didnt work for me. anyways, i dont think i gave anything away, so sorry if i should have put this in white colored text in a quote box.
still, the final episode wasnt horrible. loved the series. when it ended i had this extremely uncomfortable feeling like "now what?"
