Haven't seen the movie yet. But the first anime to make me cry was Kanon (2006).
Clannad is better but Kanon is alot sadder. The ending for Kanon was so sad!
The ending for Clannad (episode 22) made me cry but I don't get depressed whenever I think about it. Yes that's what happens when I think about the end of Kanon. There are 2 reasons for this. 1. There is no second season, 2. The ending was so SAD! But Clannad has a season 2 coming out so I'm feeling mixed emotions right now. (Sad for Clannad and Kanon ending (double effect) and happy for Clannad's second season)
Yeah, same here. Kanon (2006) was the first anime to make me cry, it was so sad, especially when he found out she was disappearing, wahh :'(. Clannad second season is going be awesome, yet I can feel there is going to be a lot of emotional effects in it haha. Quite exciting and depressing if you ask me.

I completely agree with you. Clannad second season will be awesome.
Spoiler :
I have this feeling that they're going to remember Fuko (but I'm not certain)

I've already watched the whole first season, and am waiting eagerly for the second.
Do not want.

Seriously, I'd advise staying as far away from the movie as possible until the After Story is released.
the movie is good, it plays out the entire series basically so yeah, if you don't want to be spoiled for season 2, i'd advise not watching the movie.

Is agreeing with me a problem? Well I guess I don't have the greatest rep on this site. So I shouldn't be too surprised...

Like everyone I also think Kanon and Clannad are both great. Even when you watch it for the second/third time (together with a friend).

*listens to Pass and Batto* thx for the tip, I won't watch the movie until after season 2. I'm a patient person anyway ^_^ *still waits patiently for Koop's Twilight*

I think I've watch Clannad a few too many times. The theme song is stuck in my head...

So I finally got around to watching this today. 9 episodes in and I totally see why everyone seems to love it so much. o_O The characters are quite endearing.

Seriously awesome stuff here. d(^.^)b
