Ja, the art is fantastic. From what I've seen so far, it looks like it'll be a good story too.

Overall another visually stunning episode, with the usual signs of SHAFT-style (lol photos). Plenty of service in the first half, but what really impressed me was the second half, they resolved her issue fairly rapidly and there was quite a bit of development, not to mention the last few scenes where I was taken by surprise with the sudden attitude change (HHHHHNNNNGGGGGG).
Also, lol @ stapler sex.

Re: Bakemonogatari
Spoiler :
A little romance would be nice too <= (TOTALLY NOT BIASED OR ANYTHING ).
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I'm really digging this series and I hope it doesn't fall apart in the end.

Re: Bakemonogatari
Finally managed to download this episode.
Wow, the first 1/3 of it or so was just like... soooo bad and yet soooo good. I mean holy crap. Way to be shameless. Way to be shameless. A panty shot or two I understand, but um... wow, obviously the animators are having fun. There wasn't anything in that part that was not a blatant sex tease. Not a damn thing, I swear. I think I came a little
Obviously not the title of choice for anyone who has a distaste for fanservice...
And yet I think my theory that this show is essentially a mix of Shinto-styled animism and Fruedian psychology is more or less true. And they're playing with that at every possible turn, as prominently and shamelessly as they can. Stapler sex just goes to prove my point
Awesome art yet again, excellent drama in the later part of the episode. They've really done some nice things character-wise for staplergirl. I'm impressed.
And yeah, I hope her character stays more human now but doesn't lose that edginess she had from the start. I have to say that in the mass-fanservice sequence, I was starting to get almost irritated by her being so unrealistically cold, but I get the feeling she's still going to keep the classic tsundere traits in this series. Her bluntness is kinda fun, and I think her last line in this episode proves that she's gonna keep that. That said, I'm ready to be surprised. I didn't think they'd be able to make such a key turn with her character and get into this amount of depth with her so quickly, but they pulled that off smoothly. I get the feeling that messing around with characters is going to be big in this series.
Will keep watching this hard. You know what I mean

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Awesomly stated. I totally agree. I like her bluntness but she was way too cold in the first episode.Otohiko wrote: Awesome art yet again, excellent drama in the later part of the episode. They've really done some nice things character-wise for staplergirl. I'm impressed.

I really like this anime because it seems really different from the others. I read the previous posts and I didn't see anyone mentioning the red outlines (maybe I missed it) Well, I think they were pretty cool, huh? The animation and the art are great too. This show has also unique camera angles.
Can't wait for episode 3 to be subbed.

Re: Bakemonogatari
Wow, don't have much to add from what everyone has already said... BUT, this anime is a nice change of pace from what is usually pumped out. This is definitely an show you don't want to miss, a must see
