Cowboy Bebop 26 [spoilers]

So as most of you ppl know, in the end of the cowboy bebop series, after spikes fight with viscious, Spike walks down a staircase down to awaiting ppl. He then proceeds to say, "bang," and falls down. My question is:
Is he dead or alive?
Is he just resting, or did he just kick the bucket?

What do you guys think?

Sad to say this, I know he died

(My favorite anime)
First time I saw it I almost _hit myself. It's easy to figure out why

1. The dramatic sequence of events leading up to the climax of the episode. (That includes the stuff in part 1)

2. Spike and Jet's little stories that are exchanged through the episodes, ecspecially Spike's (The one about the cats) It symbolizes himself and Julia. The talk throught the whole episode was as though he wasn't coming back. And while they've talked like he wasn't coming back before, (Perriot le Fou) They've always showed him surviving.

3.Everyone was either ticked or sad that he was fighting Vicious

4.Finally, if Spike did survive then they definately would have showed something of it, such as Spike bandaged up or Faye running up and kissing him or something, but no!!!!

Plus Cowboy Bebop ended because they wanted it to end (NOT because that was the end of the season and they went under so they couldn't continue)They would show a happy ending if spike didn't die

If they leave the series like that, then we have no choice but to assume Spike died on those steps.
BUT, if they get the idea for a great movie (nostalgia, I could happen!); they could easily bring Spike back. They would just show him leaving the hospital, nursing a wound or a scar, or having Jet lecture him about how reckless he is (again).

That's what fanfiction is for. And Faye can fall into his arms and they can passionately declare their love for each other.

I liked that they killed Spike. I thought it was good both for his character and for the show. It didn't end all happy-good-guy-prevails-over-all. He wanted his vengeance/to settle his past, and he died getting it.

ok, yea h spike died, but he was hot, and that was sad. i thought him and flay was goina get together or something, jeez. so what happened to flay and jet after splike died? well never know. plus is ed a girl or a boi? email me pleaz!!!!!!!!

well, i think (and i had read in a magazine) that spike died

well i'm a little upset the day i watch that last episode.
