I actually liked Flay. She was a good character and went through more crap then I'd wish on anybody. That said, I would often find myself warning Kira quite outloud: "Don't do it! She's crazy!" Good times, it made watching SEED even more fun.

As for Gundam SEED, early in the series wasnt that good. but as the series goes on, you actually see some character development, plus Freedom is fucking awesome beyond words.. so give the series a try.

Flay was one of those truly tragic characters that I really like. At first, she hated Kira - blaiming him for her father's death - and tried to use him to her own ends by making him think she loved him, but when she finally realized that he really did care for her regardless, she started to feel vaguely the same for him. In that respect, she's kind of a "Repentant Iago" character. I like that.

As for why Kira had a coniption, what would YOU do if the same thing happened to a person you'd loved at one point.

(BTW - if any of you think that by Iago I meant that damn bird from Aladdin, then I've lost faith in humanity and you need to stop watching Anime long enough to pick up and read a copy of William Shakespeare's Othello - for God's SAKE!)

If you want my vote for most annoying character form the SEED series, it's Stellar. She had this high, grating voice, she was always being saved and then rewarded, and I believe she's clinically retarded. If I have to watch her spin around like an idiot one more time, I'm going to scream.

i watched the gundam wing series and gundam seed is OK i still watched but not the greatest anime in the world gundam seed destiney i liked more then gundam seed although.
