My usual lurking around anime forums has led me to come across a new school comedy series called PaniPoni! Dash. You can find the official website here:

From what I got from the staff, Akiyuki Shinbo (who has visually fu***ed up SoulTaker, Tsukuyomi ~ Moon Phase, and Petite Cossette) will be directing with animation by SHAFT (He is My Master, Mahoromatic, and Tsukuyomi ~ Moon Phase). Explaining the plot of the series will be a waste of time, but I'll list the types of characters that'll you'll encounter:

a 10 year old girl who began teaching (possibly THE main character)
a magical girl
a Satoshi (from D.N. Angel) look a like
a catgirl
a bunny who always looks depressed
a couple loli bunch
a black dude who wears a girl's uniform
a weird looking nerd
a bunch of robot looking aliens

...plus a bunch of others you can find in this page.

Man, this is going to be one helluva series once it gets fansubbed!

Is it my imagination, or does the guy with the Catcher's mask on kind of look like a BomberMan wanna-be?

BTW, which one is supposed to be the catgirl? Most of those people look kinda normal actually. At least for an anime with a variety of young female characters (of which there seem to be many these days).

I believe it's this one, but it could be her hair just sticking up.

And if you like weird, have you seen Bobobo? Its supposedly going to be released in the US soon...

This is something that I must take a closer look at..
I read some of the bo-bobo manga and.....

(it was very "sad" indeed)

Ok, I've seen the first episode (and I have to say, I feel very sorry for the fansubber).

This series used chibi mode of the girls to the absolute MAX. Not to mention that there's lots and lots of visual gags in which the fansubber had a very hard time translating. It's just so damn insane; more insane than even Excel Saga.

In the nutshell, the episode is about an 11 year old girl (according to the fansub, it said she was 11) named Becky whose parents are American and Japanese respectively. She graduated from MIT and decided persue her career as a teacher. She became late school at first, and her class 1-C started to become quite impatient. From the looks of it, the class became quite rowdy when Becky arrived. Because of it, Becky started to cry, and the class felt sorry for her. So after that the class settled down, and then the episode ended.

Something tells me, this series is going to take a long time to be fansubbed which is quite a pity.
