Extremely well done series, even got my mom to watch from start to finish. I don't think I can think of any reason not to recommend it to anyone. I'd also like to ask a question. Does anyone else consider the final scene of the series a "what if" senario, and not an actual situation that took place? I'm also wondering if anyone can elaborate on the very ending...
Probably too busy to be here right now.

My thoughts on that (the spoiler) were basically that the cycle wasn't over. Sure, the people may have been "cured" for a while, but people will always be paranoid, maladjusted, discontent, stressed, etc, which could allow the events of the series to happen all over again. That is what the final episode and the detective's part in it meant to me at least.

And now every time I think of that series, "Dream Island Obsessional Park" pops into my head and refuses to leave...

Paizuri just moved it from one forum to a more appropriate one (putting it in Anime Series Discussion instead of General Anime... since it refers to a specific series).

I have to agree! Even though there were signs that some people had learned from their mistakes, it seemed liked there were some things that pointed to another cycle (and not just Manewa). For example:Solaria735 wrote:My thoughts on that (the spoiler) were basically that the cycle wasn't over. I hope that makes sense. I'm tired and scattered. (I'm pretty sure I misspelled names). But I love the complexity of this show. There were a few episodes in the middle where I thought, "huh? what's going on here and what does this have to do with the rest of the story?". But by the end it made a certain amount of sense, though it warrents much more thought.Spoiler wrote: Some of the conversations people were having (not to mention the resemblance to the first ep.) like I remeber someone saying something about not liking dogs anymore. And it showed people watching a cartoon of a cute little cat. I thought the people were having such a reaction to Miromi that they were trying to go the opposite direction. But they weren't really understanding why Lil' Slugger so they were just going back to using an emotional crutch just like Miromi.
