They started with the episode after the last one they aired loooong ago.

There was drama, there was angst, there was Kuwabara having hysterics.

And something happened that's driving my sisters crazy 'cause they don't know how it's going to get solved. But I do. And I'm not telling them. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!

getting better?

Post by Keiji-san » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:19 am

I have recently started to watch this show and I must say that the 3 first episodes were very good with the “he being dead” story. But after that all episodes only seems to be about fighting and the story seem to be nonexistent. I have only seen the first 20 episodes so far so I know I can’t fairly grade the show yet but if the show continues in this “childish” way I don’t won’t to waist my time on it. So you guys/girls who have seen it, does it get any better soon?

In our country this anime is really well-known,and famous... :D
I liked it ...and my favourite character was Kurama and Karasu...they are real bishounens...first Kurama's voice.. was a bit strange, but I loved Him...
Hiei was the funniest person,he and Kuwabara argued a lot...

Well, there is a lot of fighting and the like. The manga really is better if you want more story. (For one thing, Yusuke stays dead longer in the manga, and has some very interesting encounters. There's more character development, too.)

I really like the anime, but I was a little disappointed when I found out how much they took out of the original manga. There are some bits I really would've liked to see animated. That and they made the fight scenes longer. Oh well, I guess that's to be expected, seeing as this was the same animation studio that did DBZ et al.

The show really gets alot better. My favorite episodes are the tournament episodes. Lots of funny stuff happen
Really it does. Lots of action. My fave episodes of the Dark Tournament were where it gets to the end. I go crazy off those episodes!! you should really continue watching the show. I know I did :D

Yes, the show does get better, although, i never really thought it got bad. Except for that one episode where they apparently got a different animator. Ugh, that was a horribly animated segment. I love the last saga about the Demon Tournament and the three demon lords, including Yusuke's "father".

Which segment is that? I remember a couple times in the Dark Tournament when it looked like the style changed a bit, but I'd like to know which you're refering to.

Are you sure about that?

Last I recall Toei Animation did DBZ and Studio Pierrot did YYH.

However, Toei did do the animation for YYH movie 1 and Toho did it for Movie 2 (Poltergeist Report).
