To tell the truth, I so far, like the manga better than the anime. Its a lot easier to follow in my opinion. Though I really do love Kenshin!

But, yeah, the manga is *always* better.

I can't believe that the animators wasted effort on "filler" episodes when there is an entire arc involving Tomoe's brother that they never animated (or translated, at least not yet). They showed a part of that arc in the Reflections OVA but never really got around to the whole story; which sucks because it was really awesome.

*sigh* I guess we'll just have to rely on the manga. Though I would like to see some of this in full animated glory.

I loved the manga, but found the anime disapointing !! Poor animation, drawings sometimes not to accurate, and some episodes way out of the context like the one in the circus...
The OAV's are far better !!

Quite. ~.~ Though I did think watching Kenshin and Sano trying to act the part of circus performers was funny.

Anyone know how much of the manga has be translated into English?

i remember wen i first saw kenshin he was looking all big n bad den whimpers backing up toward a wall wen kaoru takes away his sword and swings n back n forth i was cracking up (believeit was the very first episode)... he so hilarous in the t.v. series i think it is

i only saw a few episodes on this anime site i had but then they started asking for money *tear* my heart was broken in two </3 but wah could i do?...

but from wah ive seen in samari x (only seen a bit) he is a major badass
