Must not let thread die!

Anyway, I actually liked Quess. Sure, she IS a spoiled brat, but good God, she's only 13! She's only acting her age!

Oh freakin crap i wanted to kill Que. Sure she was 13 but I don't think anyone would still act that whiny in the middle of battle? I'm glad she died.

Whoops spoiler for those who never finshed the movie o_o;

Shiro Amada had a interesting personality for a gundam char. He was cocky but not the quiet kind. He was open about it.

Ugh, the only thing that keeps me from HATING Shiro is that I find him attractive. Other than that, he is a dumbass that thinks with his hormones rather than his head.

That's why i like him so much. His attitude is annoying but it's actualyl something you would find in a normal person like him. Thinking he can do anything and everything then totally getting owned. They made him as real to life as possible.

IMHO, Ghinius is still a better character. He's very complicated because he has all sorts of motivations and circumstances that contribute to his growing insanity. I think he's almost comparable to many of the insane characters in Edgar Allan Poe's stories (Montresor, Roderick Usher, etc).

Though there have been better villians, I liked that Ghinius was more or less a mad scientist with a noblity title and a military commission. I've always liked mad scientists as villians, especially when they've got an army at their back. Throw in a cute sister and an elite warrior, and you've got yourself the makings of a great 'enemy' class.

Yeah...I really hate it when people call Ghinius a "standard raving lunatic" because he's not! IMHO, he's actually one of the most complex characters in the OVA. He's definately better than Ayna...

Re: Shiro. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Shiro started out allright...but he REALLY dropped the ball in the final arc (walking out on your team which you've just led through Hell and KNOWING there's still a threat out there, just so you can be with a woman you've know all of 72 hours tops...
In the words of one of his comrades:
"Shiro Amada...you're the worst soldier I ever met!"

Re: Ghinias. See...if you want to get down to it, a LOT of characters can appear complex with enough of a look at them (Hell, I know I've done it to a few characters myself)
The problem is, as he appears on screen, Ghinias fell into the same hole Iron Mask did in F-91. He should have been this brilliant, but disturbed man...
...who the staff simply turned into a mad dog that had to be put down by the end of the animation.

Yes, but like I said, many of Poe's characters appear like that, but they are hailed as masterpieces. I really don't think of him as "a mad dog that had to be put down".
