I think the manga is still on going in Japan. For the U.S. the 8th volume should be out by now, and the 9th one should be out in April.

Just a reminder! The first episode of the second season season of Tsubasa should have been broadcasted in Japan already. I'm obviously not going to check out the RAW since I stopped getting the manga at Vol. 8, and also the producers are doing a great job adapting them so it's pretty much no point reading the manga.

I will however check out that new OP sequence. 8-)

Now we start season 2 with episode 27!!! :D

First off, I've noticed there's a new director that took over from Koichi Mashimo. It seems like this season will directed by Hiroshi Morioka who has done some past Bee Train works.

I haven't read the manga of this chapter, but it seems like that the anime really skipped ahead towards the Piffle world where Syaoran and the gang has to race against other peeps in these flying machines. The prize is obviously the feather. And yes, Sakura DOES get a chance to race with the guys so she'll be doing some ass-kicking along side (well once she learns how to control her vehicle  ).

And as a Cardcaptor Sakura fan from the beginning, I really went giddy at the few references they put into this. This includes Tomoyo's "fangirl-ish" obsession with Sakura along with her trusty camcorder. They even included her women in black bodyguards, and the moment of Sakura exclaiming "Hoe" when Tomoyo grabbed her. 8-)

As for the plot...
...during the race, it seems like a lot of people's flying machines went haywired. Once the first round is done, the higher-ups discovered someone sabotaged the engines, and they drew the conclusion that it's one of the racers who qualified.
The pacing is surprisingly a bit better this time, and there were a lot more comedic moments (like Sakura constant crashing of her machine and more Fye-Kurogane exchanges).

Pretty good start for the new season! :P

Heh its weird....in the first season of Tsubasa, Sakura never said "Hoe" but now in the 2nd, she starts saying it...maybe ppl missed Sakura's "Hoe" and put it in there. Lol I sure know I missed it!

heh, yea it actually kinda sounded weird to me at first, since Sakura is more mature in this series than in CCS, so it felt a bit out of place since she hasn;t said it before now. But I did enjoy the refrences to CCS in this episode still.
