I've heard of that show.......never watched it, but based on what you guys are saying, i don't think i would like to venture down that path ^^;
I agree that most animes have been replaced by either pointless substitues or just plain idiotic shows *sighs* Makes you wonder what's going on through the broadcast crews heads, to put that kind of entertainment out on broadcast. And the shows are meant for children?!?!?!?!?! There is definetly a problem *sigh*

What's creepy is that Peewee Herman *was* marketed to little kids. Good gravy, what were they thinking? I mean, stupidity aside, there's some stuff in there that is just disturbing. Dad said it made a lot more sense when they put that show on AD, though I think they should have just burned the reals.
It really looks like producers and whoever's in charge of scheduling assumes that people are idiots no matter how old they are. That, and they have some really strange senseabilities. (Have you heard about Tom and Jerry getting in trouble in the UK. And not for the violence. What was objected to was Tom rolling a cigarette. )

That's just totally weird.
What i find really disturbing is that the things that aren 't really a big deal, are most often times made into a big deal. I haven't watched or seen the shows that were mentioned, but based on what you guys have been saying, it looks like the people who are in charge have no sense whatsoever about what is appropriate and what isn't. For instance, if two male characters are like, more friendly towards each other than you would normally see, representatives immediately assume that they're gay. I mean COME ON!!! can't they they just be extremely good friends?!?!?!? If two brothers were that friendly, are people going to assume that they're gay and into each other and there's likely going to be insest????
Seriously, sometimes the things you hear about certain animes or shows becayuse something was inappropriate, take a look at some other show. The characters are lewd and are presenting themes that are highly prohibited to be viewed by anyone younger than 18 or older. What is that?!?!?!?!?!?!
Did you guys hear about the deal with Peppermint Patty and Marcie??? Producers actually thought that Peppermint Patty was lesbian cause she liked to play football and constantly wore a t-shirt, shorts and sandals....nothing girly............
Okay, gettting off topic ^^; *sighs-* sorry got carried away there ^^; yare yare

Um...I think the major issue about those who are in charge...is not the fact that they make a big deal out of things...it's the fact that they still living in the age where Anime is still considered as Cartoon...and it's only suitable (or only people who are interested) is children under the age of 12. I believe that's the major problem. If they believe that Anime is for teens and adults too (which some anime are make for) they would probably look at things teens/adults view and find things are no big deal. Comparing to what we see on normal television and movies these days, I don't think the things in Anime is gonna make that much of a differce.
