Decker, I think we're saying the same things in different ways, at least that's my take on it

Yeah, it's been a while since I've done a spoiler box.
Anyway
Anyway
Agreeing with both of you there, but yeah. I may be reading a little too much of the Book-of-Revelations motif into it, but that's my theory. Either way, it still is an upbeat ending. Seriously, after watching Evangelion, Gankutsuou, FMA, and Monster, I needed to see a series that had a happy ending. My only gripe with it is that I want to see you know who actually coming back to you know where/who, though I think it's heavily insinuated that that's inevitable.Spoiler wrote:What I think happened was that the Skurve Coral left the surface of the planet, but didn't leave its orbit. If what I think I saw and understood is correct, the Skurve Coral, or what's left, orbits the earth. The Nirvash wanted Eureka and Renton to be together, so Eureka was allowed to return to earth. What was insinuated was that Eureka and Renton gave up being completely Coralian and Human respectively.
If I understood what was said correctly, Eureka and Renton were a sort of Adam and Eve for a new Human-Coralian race, and their offspring would intigrate with humans over time. Thus, humans and Coralians could coexist peacefully forever. This is pretty well supported by the fact that other characters said that Eureka did have a womb and capability to reproduce exactly like a human.

The necklaces around Eureka's and Anemone's necks were attached to Dewey's heart so that if they tried to use theEND and the Nirvash to create a new command center with themselves as the heart, they would die. Without a pilot, in the forms they were in, creating a new Command Center would have been impossible.
People did awaken from the Despair Disease shortly, but only to say either goodbye to those they loved or take them with them if they were willing - as is the case with Martha and William. From my interpretation, right after everyone awoke from the Despair, they immediately vanished - notice that the drives they held were changed into books - and became part of the Skurve Coral consciousness. This is pretty similair to the Rapture or the Third Impact.
True, Eureka DIDN'T want to become the new Command Center, but she didn't really have a choice at first. However, the Nirvash, after evolving to its almost purely organic form, took her place, and the Skurve Coral left the surface of the earth. Whether they actually left the orbit itself, I'm not sure, but they hope that Eureka and Renton will be the ones to bridge the gap between Humans and the Coralians, in that their example of love and that of their offspring will spread throughout the world, creating a new group of Coralian/Human hybrids, who will accept both sides and will teach others to as well..

Well the people with Despair Sickness didnt disappear, they got hit with meteors which the Skurve Coral directed. I also dont think the Nirvash took Eureka's place, Nirvash just broke her free from having to be the Command Cluster by having half the life of Earth leave. If you look the Command Cluster that was trying to rebuild was destroyed When the reverse Trappar field from the necklace is broken. I dont think there has to be another Command CLuster since the Skurve Coral are no longer on Earth and the Limit of Life is no longer going to occur.
Other than that I think we agree on everything.

Well, I just got done watching RahXephon, and I have this to ask: Which do you guys prefer?
Me, personally? Eureka Seven, hands down. Not to say RahXephon wasn't amazing, but for some reason I just didn't feel as strongly for Ayato and Haruka as I did for Renton and Eureka. It seemed as though RahXephon was a bit of a precursor or beta to Eureka. What's your guys' take on this?
