I dont like the comedy parts, Seras' "funny" eyes and stuff. I dont mind the new series if they took that out. Anyways, what do i know?! i bet it will be much loved.

I kind of agree with you. I didn't think the "funny stuff" in the first two episodes was that bad... but it seems they're doing it more and more. In the third episode it was pretty distracting.

An American cartoon would never even consider creating a contrast like that in a "serious," violent show.

Yeah...the 'funny stuff' is a bit out of place...I just want more boobies and Seras taking people out. The grapple she did to one of the brothers in the old tv series was really all I needed...

I think the only reason OVA III seemed a tad weird is because we've never actually seen it animated before. It's easier to like the first two episodes because they make the original anime done for this look like crap.
On a side note about the humor used, out of place or not, it's almost the exact same style as used in the manga. Hirano always threw in random stuff like that, which really makes me feel better about this series than the old one.

So yea, this post kinda died...anyone else looking forward to seeing Schrodinger in OVA 4? He's easily my favorite character. I argue with a fellow Hellsing fan just about every day over him. (He thinks Schrodingers a girl )

Personally, Walter was always my favorite character. Those freaking wires are just awesome. Episode 2 where was he really shined, so that was the high point for me already.

And I always liked the old, loyal Walter so much better. I was really bummed out when I found out he betrayed the Hellsing Organization. NO, WALTER, NO! SAY IT AIN'T SO!

But I'm also looking forward to the battles that will presumably be taking place in 5 and 6...

...particularly the one where Integra is facing about 50 vampires and just tells them all to go **** themselves. And then the Iscariot soldiers show up, and there's the whole thing about Intergra insisting that they escort her home, and Anderson agreeing... just priceless. I love that whole scene.

Just watched Ep 2. I really dislike the dopey humorous animation for Seras. I know she's supposed to be the comic relief for the series but it's really annoying to go from a serious flashback involving Alucard to the mansion looking like a giant Jell-O castle. I'd ditch the show altogether if it wasn't for the incredible Alucard sequences.

The sad thing is that Seras is pretty cool when she gets ticked off. I wish the director would cut out this kiddy shit.

Love the Anime, Love the new OVA, and Got all the manga and gonna get vol. 8. Nobody down here really understands hellsing the only thing the can relate it to is Van Helsing, Hellsing makes Grindhouse look like failure (opinion OPINION people seem to confuse opinion from fact with me) and they think that just because Hellsing and Van Helsing share one common name, they link them together and complain that its nothin like van helsing. Damn got off subject. Anyway I thought that the anime was good but I love the manga so when the OVA came out I loved that it was based on the manga, I was kinda freakin cause i could see Alucard fight in a big crowd of peopel and not even care, and I also will get to see the Harkonen cannon II be used in a BIG BIG fight against zepplins, YAY

I believe the Fourht OVA is being postponed farther than the october 9th or somewhere around that time they were going to release it but i heard theyre postponing
