It'll probably go on until the end of August. >__>
But really now, how many cycles were there in total in the novel? So far we're at 15,500. =\

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
The new anime season is beginning (along with new TMoHS episodes) so I'm switching back to a Haruhi avatar. Ah, it's good to be back. New and fresh things but with familiar feelings.
Now to Endless Eight.

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
That's all well and good, but I'm tired of seeing the same thing every episode now. It was fine for the second episode of Endless Eight, but the third was almost the exact same thing as the second.
It probably didn't help me that I watched them back to back. If only I would've known. >_>
I wish I could remember what the actual resolution to this chapter was. Apparently it didn't stick with me when I read it...

After such a long time without anything new from the series this "second season" is a great addition. I really like the new op but i still think you cant get better then the original. As for the endless eight arc I'm enjoying it, I've yet to see any recycled footage in the three episodes that Ive seen.

Kit would like to disagree about recycled footage. But he's wrong and he knows it...FreedomEditor wrote:After such a long time without anything new from the series this "second season" is a great addition. The footage may not be recycled, but the audio sure as heck could be. >_>
But it has been nice getting different yukatas and bathing suits every episode.

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Here's my take on it. I haven't read the $#(*&%%$ manga. I've heard about it though and it's likely the only reason I haven't freaked out.
Whether or not the 3 eps have all had unique cells drawn is not cutting it with quite a few I'm sure.
They run a fine first season, then they tooootally drive the fans out of their tree waiting for this season to finally arrive, and 3 of the first four new shows turn out to be essentially the same show (with unique art being limited to differing clothing worn).
I can't think of another anime that it more deserving of being shamelessly pirated as revenge for the over the top annoying treatment of the viewing fans.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

I suppose they do deserve it.Sukunai wrote:Here's my take on it. I haven't read the $#(*&%%$ manga. I've heard about it though and it's likely the only reason I haven't freaked out.

What's more, I can't wait till Kyon finally snaps and literally takes Haruhi from BEHIND ^_^

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
omg, i'm going to punch someone, 5th ep is ANOTHER repeat, again with wonderful original animation, an almost entirely unoriginal dialogue. i didn't even bother watching the full thing, just flipped through quickly to see if it actually changed anywhere, from what i saw...no. I really hope the later eps make up for this, cause if it wasn't for the fact that i know there will be awsomeness coming eventually i would probably have quit watching by now.
