Episode 14....OH GOD, YUTAKA IS SO F**KING KAWAII!!!






And I agree with Konota; Yutaka is a walking moe! Next contender of the Saimoe competition?

More entertaining moments include:

- Konota mentioned to Yutaka that her sickly and child-like looks will help her to get the guys.

- They also introduced Minoru Chihara's character Minami who's Yutaka's friend that helped her out in middle school. Reminds me of a more emotive version of Yuki Nagato.

- Miyuki's mom is so bored to a point that she actually stroke a conversation with the telemarketers.

- Ahh, the joys of watching a millionaire game show with your family. C'mon, we ALL experienced that!

- Seems like Yutaka is starting to admire Konota a lot. Uh oh!

- I feel Yutaka's pain; walking close to the bathroom just to realize the door's open and someone's in it!

- Speaking of bathrooms, most restrooms in restaurants are located near the smoking areas, huh?

- In Lucky Channel, Akira was REALLY bi-polar than usual.

The ED sequence has Minoru Shiraishi singing Hare Hare Yukai while doing some wierd martial arts moves....god it was weird!

And has anyone noticed that Yutaka's wears a different ribbon at certain times?

If she can make it past her second round prelim group (which I'm sure she will do), then it's definitely a possibility (if only her first round prelim group didn't happen the day BEFORE this episode aired in Japan).

The new ED feels like they're trying way too hard to be funny, I wish they'd go back to karaoke endings.

Incidentally, I was just on my keitai looking for new ringtones, and I stumbled across a site that has all of the Lucky Star EDs as downloadable ringers. So, Miyuki and Tsukasa singing the Doraemon theme is now my new alarm tone

The sound Konata makes when she sits up while on the phone in ep 15 made me laugh so hard I had to watch it like 3 times.

Episode 15 starts a new school year with Konota and the gang! But first...

Spoiler :

- They went to SOS Brigade concert that happened back in March. Who thought it was adorable that Kagami let Konota take her seat since Konota's view was block?

- Ahhh, the feeling of emptiness when a damn good concert is over.

- I believe Kagami killed her goldfish by over feeding it.

- Konota dad's has a cold so he transformed himself Kamen Rider style in order to protect himself! Though it does make him look suspicious in the eyes of the public!

- Ahhh, April Fools Day. Konota definitely fooled Kagami when she said she finished her homework. Karma bites back when her teacher said she accidentally overwrote her savefile.

- New school year starts with new class assignments. Poor Kagami being separated from her friends again.

- Yutaka's self-introduction to her new classmates ==> massive fail!

- OH SHIT! Big ass Da Capo reference, and they parodied that PERFECTLY with the song and everything (just for the record I didn't really like Da Capo that much; I thought it was just amusing they did that)!

- Trying to take notes while dozing off? Trust me, it doesn't look pretty at all!

- Lucky Channel! There's going to be a live-concert of Akira next week?! This ain't going to go well!

I've gone over that scenario a thousand times in my head and I still can't figure out how that's remotely possible in the first place.

Well, it could be a game cartridge... Spoiler tags fixed/removed in the quotes (which also were adjusted for clarity).

I once left my NES on for a couple of days straight running a game because I didn't want to overwrite the only save slot the game cartridge held because the saved game was still in progress and the currently running game was either a branch, or a new game started to try something as an experiment.

Anyways, some thoughts on episode 16:

I love all the family scenes in this episode: Miyuki and her mom, the Hiiragis eating sukiyaki (nice big-sis Kagami scene), and Konata's family watching TV.

The bit about Miyuki forgetting about the microwave and then her mom doing the same had me rolling.

The trip to the Gamers store: was the photography scene a play on the joke about Tsukasa resembling ToHeart's Akari?

Kagami, you shouldn't be surprised if you have to buy something for Konata. (also, this is the appearance of the Miyakawa sisters from the Lucky Star DS game)

The gang goes to Konata's cosplay cafe. Guess what today's theme is?

NEW CHARACTER!!! Patricia Martin makes her appearance!

I love Minami's (Yutaka's green-haired friend/classmate) reaction in the scene with Konata.

Another Animate scene featuring Anime Tenchou and the worker from Comiket voiced by Kyon's seiyuu (the other Tomokazu).

Yay! More scenes with Kagami's classmates Ayano and Misao!

Lucky Channel features Akira's "LIVE" concert. And the ending is still live action, but NOT featuring Minoru. Both amused me more that I expected.

Finally, the next episode is done by Kyon and Yuki Nagato. EH?

Episode 16. EPIC.

The first half of the episode is a little dry, it reminds me of the first episode, and why people sage this on /a/ all the time. I still found parts of it funny, but they completely make up for it in the 2nd half of the show.

Kagami, Tsukasa, and Miyuki go to visit Konata at the cafe where she works. They have to go to Gamers to find their way (apparently she drew it as the starting point on a map) and end up in a secluded little cafe...........that is modeled like the SOS Dan club room.

They are greeted by Konata in a full on Haruhi costume.

She takes their orders in her authoritative Haruhi voice, (switching back and forth to Konata at times)...

And then proceeds to dance Hare Hare Yukai with two of the other people in the cafe, one of whom is dressed like Mikuru, the other who is dressed like Nagato.

Kona is definately proud of herself :3
