Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
I wasn't too hopped up to check out Season 2 when it came out subbed weekly, so I still have to watch a good 4 or 5 more episodes from it. This was mainly because even though I generally liked Season 1, it didn't pull me in as much as I thought it would (and besides, every website I went on had different episode orders, which screwed me up quite a bit.)
I'll finish Haruhi S2 soon (I'm past Endless Eight, and from what I hear, the rest of it is fairly good xD; ) and wow, a movie, eh? I hope it'll conclude something huge (I just have this feeling that Haruhi will find out about her being a God, go a little insane and eventually become scared of herself. Kyon will somehow snap her out of it, she'll accept her duty and fix something, and then something will happen that will make her forget. But... that's just mere speculation on my part, and I still have to finish S2. =\)

Something will happen, you mean, that'll make the rest of the movie completely pointless (i.e. she rewinds time or something), eh? I like it. It's Donnie Darko style.EkaCoralian wrote:I wasn't too hopped up to check out Season 2 when it came out subbed weekly, so I still have to watch a good 4 or 5 more episodes from it. Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Just realized that there are no new kyoani shows for the winter '09-'10 session... does it mean kyoani is going all out entirely on the haruhi movie? :O
It oughts to be awesome.

One would think so, especially with the release of it (supposedly) being so close :O

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
I finished S2 completely now!
Well just as Season 1's ending didn't feel like the end, neither did Season 2's. =\ It was good and all (and gawsh, how I loved S2's animation ) but I did find myself checking the time every now and again while watching an episode. They needed more action in episodes (S1: Giant insects, psychopathic robotic schoomates wielding blades etc. S2? S2 had a Mikuru Beam, and that was about it.) Still, I'll look forward to the upcoming movie.

. . .
Yuki looking afraid in 2 shots and the return of the psychopathic robotic school mate had me speechless.
This movie actually looks really awesome! I'm REALLY looking forward to it, now!

That teaser says only one thing. 'beg for it bitch'.
I suppose all us Haruhi fans will be waiting for it now all the more.

Anime, one of the few things about the internet that doesn't make me hate the internet.

Re: Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
From what I can interpret from the trailer, I think that since Haruhi disappears, Koizumi, Yuki and so on think they are normal people while Kyon remembers all of them in their supernatural forms.
That also might explain why the blue-haired program-girl appeared (because it could be like that fight never happened, and she did not need to be programmed because Haruhi is gone.)
Speculation, but quite possible. It reminds me of the 3rd Bleach movie a bit, but just 1000x better. XD
