Re: getting better?

But after that all episodes only seems to be about fighting and the story seem to be nonexistent. I have only seen the first 20 episodes so far so I know I can’t fairly grade the show yet but if the show continues in this “childish” way I don’t won’t to waist my time on it. So you guys/girls who have seen it, does it get any better soon?
I know the rest of the series is a big major departure from the first 5 eps but I still found it very entertaining. I think what made the rest of the series interesting was not just the fights, but the reasons why the characters were fighting. The first half of the series, the characters fought for basic reasons like saving the world and what not. As the series progresses, while the characters still fight for the "save the world" reason, it gets much much more deeper than that.

It gets to the point where you begin to feel sympathetic for the villian and you can understand why he/she is doing the things they do. At the same time you know the heroes have to win because their beliefs clash which determine the fate of one world or the other.

The fights have alot of suspense to them the first time you watch and you'll be surprised that the good guys don't always win.

I would recommend finishing the Dark Tournament saga and see if you want to continue after that. While the last saga is rushed, I still feel it was pretty well done.

Are you sure about that?

Last I recall Toei Animation did DBZ and Studio Pierrot did YYH.

However, Toei did do the animation for YYH movie 1 and Toho did it for Movie 2 (Poltergeist Report).
Well, I seem to recall hearing that the same studio did both a couple places, but maybe that's mistaken.

Do you know if the movies are out in the USA? I'd like to see them.

Both are out.

You'll find movie 1 in a Ninku/Yu Yu Hakusho hybrid dvd released by anime works.

Movie 2 is "Poltergeist Report" released by US Manga corps.

Which segment is that? I remember a couple times in the Dark Tournament when it looked like the style changed a bit, but I'd like to know which you're refering to.
I'm refering to the episode in which Hiei kicks Bui's ass (I think it's the second episode of that particular battle). It looked like shit, at least in my opinion.

Oh, yes, I remember that one. My little sisters and I were wondering what happened to the characters, they looked very different.

The style wouldn't have been so bad if it had been that way from the start, but that was just wierdly abrupt.

Still, it was cool seeing Hiei go all dragon-like. :D

What? A Hiei-centered episode that looked bad?  NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Oo, look, a shiny object! :o
...................

I think I've seen clips from that episode...Hothead-sama looks all stretched out 'n weird (Hothead or Hothead-sama is my nickname for Hiei, for obvious reasons, his temper not being the least of them). What did they do to my poor little bishi?

Yes, I do. The posting mechanism doesn't seem to like repeated letters and so deleates them. Rather annoying.

And it is so annoying that they'd pull that animation stunt on a Hiei centered episode. He's my second favorite character! (Kurama's first. Botan follows Hiei closely in third place.)

Hothead-sama. That's good!

Yeah, I thought of that a while ago. Anyone know how to say it in Japanese? That would be awesome!

Say, I have a question: in a recent episode Kurama mentioned that demon hearts don't beat like human ones do. So does his heart beat when he's in his red-headed form? After all, that form is now completely inhuman (at least so the manga goes, I don't remember how they handled it in the anime).

I'd hate to be the doctor who has to give him a check up. Come to think of it, how would a check up with him go? Seeing as he's not human and all.

I wonder if he ever has had a check-up?
