Aaaand I think some of the "Misa must die" folks are angry because they think she gets in the way of the True Man Love they see between L and Light/Raito. That or they're angry that she's not very bright.

Actually, Rem's voice is the one that surprised me. It's androgynous, which makes sense, but it's less Shinigami-ish than I'd expect.

I agree, this episode brought back the reason I realy like this series to begin with, Its gonna be interesting to see how everything goes now with this new development ^^

I can't say about the anime, but in the manga Misa KNOWS shes being used, and on several occasions she outright tells Light to more or less use her.

It's always been my impression that Misa sees Light as a champion of justice, and doesn't realize how amoral and unfeeling he really is.

I caved in and started watching Death Note, now on Episode 7.

Damn, how wrong I was when I thought this is just an over-rated pop-spin detective dealie

The suspense in this series is just awesome. I'm a little annoyed by the 'perfection' (which it isn't really) of all the set-ups sometimes, but this is made up well by the irony and tension.

I'm only a bit iffy as to where this might go. This is a series that may be prone to being ruined by a bad (or should I say overly good?) ending, but I sure as hell will be with it until that ending, however it goes.

NOT reading the manga on this, it's too good as anime to spoil.
