Which is one of the main reasons I don't like the Naruto character...he solves every problem by using the fox chakra or his large chakra reserve. Like making 100 clones...or needing to learn a hard tech...or needing to beat up Gaara, add more chakra...everything is solved with chakra...older_gohan wrote:What do you expect from the person who houses the nine tailed fox. It's like watching Gokou go through so many transformations in DBZ and wonder "Will he ever stop?"
If the word 'chakra' was replaced with 'money', Naruto would be basically fighting all his problems in life by throwing 'money' at them.
Which is why I want Rock Lee to be the main character...or atleast Shikamaru...but that's just me...

Actually they all use chakra, its the power behind their Shinobi skills. So that is an issue. As for his kyuubi chakra, he has only used that in maybe 6 occasions (not episodes) out of the many many battles he has had. He used it most in his last battle against Sasuke. Naruto solves most of his issues with his big heart. He ends up inspiring people he meets and helping them defeat their foes. Abit cheesy, but its nice. His Rassengan move was just used in the fillers alot, just for kicks....even Naruto joked about that move being used too much.Ivvan Cain wrote:Which is one of the main reasons I don't like the Naruto character...he solves every problem by using the fox chakra or his large chakra reserve. Be careful not to compare him to Goku blindly just cos' he is the main character. Goku is an alien with immense power that develops in a different way. Naruto characters are abit more down to earth.
Naruto has improved in shippuden, evident just from that little sparring match. More of his skill will show in the rest of the series. His personality is still the same, but he didnt waste 2 years worth of training with Jirai.
Just note, he IS the lead character and he WILL always win, even if it takes many episodes to get there. Its just how things are with most tv shows.

Naruto already has a naturally large chakra pool. The nine tail fox chakra is just thrown in for good measures once in awhile. And while everyone uses chakra, no one seems to have the same pool to work with as Naruto. Sakura only started to rock what I asume is storing her chakra like ... what's her face ... the fifth Hokage. Shikamaru doesn't have much chakra. Rock Lee has access a lot only by putting his body through extreme strain. Choiji works off his fat reserves.
Naruto beat the kid with the ice mirrors by...going somewhat insane and using the nine tail fox chakra. Naruto beat Neji with a lot of shadow clones and fox chakra after Neji sealed Naruto up (though I admit...he showed some intelligence in that fight). Naruto beat Gaara be using his large amount of chakra to summon the big toad (which most people can't do cause they just don't have the reserve availible) and though I guess he did touch Gaara's inner emotion (but without the chakra, Naruto would have been a smear on the ground).
Naruto's best techniques are often effective because he has enough chakra to back them up (cept the Rasengan but he sure uses it a lot...asuming his chakra reserve means he didn't have a 3 use limit like Sasuke).
As for using his big heart...meh...I think that only worked on Gaara and Neji. And that was after he kicked Neji's ass and crippled Gaara.
I personally find Shikamaru's detailed battle plans and Rock Lee's general going for broke style more entertaining and less cheesy.

I think you are watching a different version from the one i watch. Maybe its the subtitles or the dubbing, or maybe you are reading the manga.
Naruto just has alot of stamina, he doesnt like to give up even when hes seriously hurt. It stems form his original goal to gain approval from the town people instead of being seen as the boy with a monster inside him. he doesnt have anymore chakra than any of the others.
In fact you are looking at this from a power point of view, whic isnt what the series is about. DBZ was about power levels and accending to the next level of power and fighting more and more powerful foes. Naruto isnt about that, every fighter in the show controls their chakra in a different way and it depends on their technique to decide how that chakra is released.
Neji for example is a chakra expert, he can see it and manipulate it. Sakura's medical training helps to focus her chakra on healing and strength. Lee doesnt know shinobi skills, so his chakra isnt used in his normal routine, he uses his own physical strength and training. Lee only taps into his chakra on a last resort measure like the Gaara fight, or through meditation.
You should look back at the series and see how they explain what chakra is. Its not those powers that the Saiyans have. Also you should really watch the series over and look closely at Naruto's character and personality. He likes a fight, but its not all BANG AND WHALLOP!! His fight with Gaara wasnt all about power. He used his training and his unique personality to outwit Gaara in his blind rage and he begged the Kyuubi in him to lend him some strength. In the end, even when he couldnt use his body anymore, he still wanted to fight for his friends and that determination changed Gaara's heart.
Haha! This isnt an argument, so please take no offense.

The rasengan works in different way to the chidori, thats why he and jirai can use it many times over, but sasuke and kakashi can only use the chidori a few times. Its a matter of how the techniques tap energy from the body.
Naruto does run out of energy, even after making many shadow clones and fighting at the same time against a strong and smart opponent.

Not offended in anyway, just saying my ideas. If you convince me in the process, no biggie.
Now, I'm not saying chakra is a power level issue. Rather, I'm saying that he has a natural chakra reserve bigger than the average ninja (or atleast bigger than Kakashi which was from the manga when Kakashi explained why he can't not do the same training as Naruto). Add on the his backup chakra from the fox...and he's practically unbeatable since the fox chakra also gives him regenerative abilities. I admit...he doesn't ever give up...which I guess is a good thing...and he has gotten smarter...
But his battle with Neji would have been a total loss if he didn't have the fox chakra, since he was all sealed up.
Only reason Naruto beat the ice mirror kid with with the fox chakra.
Gaara's battle is bit more complicated I suppose. A large part of it is the fact that he was able to summon the large toad because he had a chakra for it...but he was rather resource full and had a better emotional link with Gaara. Possibly I'm too cynical to buy into all that "believe in yourself and the world will be yours!" message and that's why Naruto seems so annoying to me. He is far more interesting after the time skip.

...and the true reason comes forth. So i wont try anymore to convince you. I'm a more open minded person anyway, so i tend to see beyond face value and I'm very patient.Possibly I'm too cynical to buy into all that "believe in yourself and the world will be yours!" message and that's why Naruto seems so annoying to me.
Its all good. Just consider Naruto isnt unbeatable, he has many flaws and accepts help form his friends. Even Goku could not beat Brolly alone.
Naruto is worthy character (before and after the time skip) and deserves no hate. Sasuke is selfish and arrogant, thats who you can hate. (not too much cos' hes going through pain aswell)

Well...I think every character in Naruto is in major pain at one point or another. Just same tend to deal with it better. Personally, I like Rock Lee's back story and Shikamaru's upcoming battle. Neither of them went emo and turned their backs on their friends...though Sasuke is forming a pretty interesting crew IMO...
