Pretty much I have the same opinion about the first season.Too boring and I even skipped the episodes with Shana's past...Ishbalan wrote:I heard about this anime a long time ago but never got around to watching it until now. I've just finished the first season. These are my thoughts:
Shana is a very likable character for me, having the clear loli traits and the spunky attitude. i believe my favorite scene may have been her verbally beating the shit out of her teachers.
This, however, was the only thing that the show did for me. I didn't like the enemies, and they're attacks were far too cliche-natured. Shana slashing them to bits was not nearly as epic as I had hoped it would be. I went into this anime with very high expectations.
They left several things left unexplained (which I hope are addressed in the second season), and many things just seemed too convenient for plot and threw me off a bit.
I liked the first Opening, but not the second. No real opinion on the Endings.
~de arimasu gets on my nerves.
I like the romance angle between Shana and Yuji, but as in several of Kugimiya's other loli roles, I can't see it going anywhere... ever. She's always so impulsive and vengeful.
The Shanatan and Hecatan specials did nothing for me. I am still disturbed by Yuji's (implied) masturbation scene. They just threw that in there for the lolz i suppose.
The only arc I actually loved was the one with Khamshin in it. He was badass, but he only attacked once and then we never saw him again.
So, with this I am ready to move on to something else. Given my personal review of the series, do you guys think that I would enjoy the second season enough to want to watch it? It would have to make up for a lot that the first season lacked.
So all in all,I haven't begun watching any eps from 2nd season.Maybe if it gets finished I'll give it a try...but still not in my plans.

Would agree...the first season I liked, but parts were a little slow. 2nd season first few school life/relationship episodes are REALLY slow, but decent. Then, it's like someone decided to make up for all the lack of character development and action, and did a damn fine job of it. But the question is, will it continue to do this, or are we in for an epic fail ending? I really hope they do a season 3 :I

For God's love, how can they make such great episodes?
Ep22 had everything: comedy, romance, drama, suspence... ^^
I died from laughing there.
About the story progression:
This season is getting more and more awesome. Such a pain waiting an entire week again. T_T
And it's also heartbreaking to know that there are only 2eps left (at least for this season, /me hopes for a lot more once the novels give enough material^^).
