Must--get--PS2...
Ha-ha-ha-ha! That is an interesting sister! Hee-hee!
By the way, next week's episode is filler again, isn't it? (Something about "The Woman Who Loved Sesshomaru".) I think I heard something about this being one of the worst fillers ever.

Are you kidding me! That was one of my favs. It's a two part thing and aired as a special in Japan, so obviously it's a filler.Brigid wrote:Must--get--PS2...

There's only two specials that i know of and one is about Sara (i believe that's her name..) who loved Sesshoumaru and i wanna say more but it would be spoilers. The other just flashes back on InuYasha and Kikyou's old relationship (booooring..i watched a lil and skipped it.. > >).
I might watch it..i'm curious about her English voice..

This one is perhaps the best anime-themed 2D fighting game I've played (next to Card Hunter Sakura 2). That it's made by Dimps (the people behind the original DBZ Budokai games) is a plus.Yunacat wrote:-InuYasha: Sengoku O Togi Kassen (known as "A Fuedal Fairy Tale" in the US) for PS1 = I thought that, even though the graphics were low grade and fighting was two way (meaning you can only go back or forward and that's it..) that it was fun. My best characters to play were Kouga and Miroku.
I found it a lot of fun to play and liked the fact that it was fully-voiced over (in Japanese with subs). Another nice touch is that you can choose where to go and who to fight.
I like Kagome. My favorite move is socking someone over the head with her backpack ... and that really has to hurt.
I do not recommend this game, at least over the other two here.Yunacat wrote:-InuYasha: Fuedal Combat for PS2 = This one was much much better than the first one. You had more characters, better attacks, better specials, an interactive enviroment, and you could move 8 way!^^
My gripes with this game are many:
- The voice acting is extremely flat and lifeless ... the first time I've ever heard the main dub cast sound like this. They sounded more like they didn't want to do this game (versus Secret of the Cursed Mask, where the actors actually get right into their mode and make it shine).
- The story scripting is really bad, compared to the other two games noted here. No wonder the voice acting is flat ... if I had to read lines like this, I wouldn't want to do it. (But, they probably had little choice but to -- it is a job, after all. )
- While the battle system is much better than Sengoku O Togi Kassen, the feel of the game is rather "do this move over and over". I found myself doing only two moves throughout - quick attacks and then follow up with a special.
While the battle system is interesting and the challenge mode was nice, the flat acting and bad story just ruins it ... they should have just stuck in Sengoku O Togi Kassen's story mode. That would have rocked.
I even broke the game once. Never broke the others.
Another one I agree is a great game, and one that every InuYasha fan with a PS2 should have.Yunacat wrote:-InuYasha: Jusou no Kamen (known as "Secret of the Cursed Mask" in the US) for PS2 = This is one of my fav games. There's a bunch of ways you can go after a certain point, the battles and attacks are entertaining, you get to play either a girl or guy that follows the original cast on their adventure, and best of all..everyone is chibified!! X3
That it was a story written with Rumiko Takahashi's involvement says something right there. You might call this the "lost InuYasha movie". The storytelling is magnificent, the voice actors are all here and in prime form, and the battle system (while simplified for an RPG) feature every classic move you could want from the series -- including Kagome's handy First Aid Kit.
I just can't recommend this game more.

Funny, I thought for sure I heard a while back about it being loathed as a ruination of a Sesshomaru episode.
Right. InuYasha: Sengoku O Togi Kassen (Feudal Fairytale) and InuYasha: Jusou no Kamen (Secret of the Cursed Mask). Now all I have to do is save up the money for the games and the game system. Oh, the life of a struggling artist. T.T )

My sis and i were making fun of that fact. We said that when it does rain, either 1) someone gets sick, 2) a demon is causing it, 3) it's a REALLY sad moment or meloncholy-like happy moment or something... And it's only 1-2 times besides the opening! XD
In dating sims, your goal is to go on a date with so-n-so, but the goal of this game is to stop Naraku, find out who the new person on Naraku's side is, and defeat them...
It's not a dating sim.. It's a battle RPG. The only time it seems anything like a dating sim is when you have the hangout events, which, if you hang out with the opposite gender than your character, then something does happen which makes it seem like your character likes the other a lil more than he/she should, but it only happens then..and that's 1 time.GloryQuestor wrote:- InuYasha: Sengoku O Togi Kassen = Inuyasha: A Fedual Fairy Tale (PS1 fighting game).KagomeSakuraMoon wrote:ok can you guys put the names of thoses games in english please??

That's not entirely true. The hangout events do have an big influence on the game, both in the battle system and the resolution of the story.Yunacat wrote: It's not a dating sim.. It's a battle RPG. For the battle system, the closer your character (Kuturugi) is with one of the other characters through the relationship events, the more combo moves with that character are unlocked.
For the story ... well, you'll have to find that out, but suffice it to say that your relationship with a character does have an influence.
