The only time it seems anything like a dating sim is when you have the hangout events, which, if you hang out with the opposite gender than your character, then something does happen which makes it seem like your character likes the other a lil more than he/she should, but it only happens then..and that's 1 time.

In dating sims, your goal is to go on a date with so-n-so, but the goal of this game is to stop Naraku, find out who the new person on Naraku's side is, and defeat them...
That's not entirely true. The hangout events do have an big influence on the game, both in the battle system and the resolution of the story.

For the battle system, the closer your character (Kuturugi) is with one of the other characters through the relationship events, the more combo moves with that character are unlocked.

For the story ... well, you'll have to find that out, but suffice it to say that your relationship with a character does have an influence.
Not to be a grammer nazi, but the character you play's last name is Kururugi.. You can either play Kaname or the guy *has never played the guy so doesn't know his name*

Actually, i never noticed that. When i started out, i hung out with Sango the entire time, having a feeling that something would come of hanging out with only one single person. And i was correct, but it never influenced my double attacks. I gained all of InuYasha's doubles with Kaname before i got the 2nd one with Sango, yet i was hanging out with her the entire time...
My sis played and hung out with Kagome the whole time and got all of Sango's doubles with Kaname before i did.. o_o

Yeah, it does have an influence, but not too much...

ofcouse there is raining in the 2nd opening, but thats it!
The episode after the three monkey spirits there was rain. Kagome got sick from too much damp. One of the flashback images of Inuyasha and Kikyo's relationship shows snow. Can't think of anything else. Interesting. I guess Japan has a pretty mild climate. (Or may the scriptwriter be with you.)
I am a rabid Inuyasha fangirl! Fear me!

Doesn't Kagome live in Tokyo? Or was it Kyoto..i keep thinking it's Kyoto. If that's the case, then it might be a good explaination for the weather..yet i can't remember if it was north Japan or south Japan that got all the rain/snow... @_@

She lives in Tokyo.

It rains and snows nomatter what, but I was thinking tornado, lighting storm, blizzard, hurricane, etc. You know......plain HAVIC

I have a question. Why do people in fanfics put Sesshomaru and Kagome together? Also, why do the talk about leaving marks on the necks?

I would imagine bc Inuyasha was an ass about choosing between Kagome and Kikyo, and Sesshomaru is a pretty freakin' sweet character. It's apparently real easy to write a plot about how Inuyasha "betrayed" Kagome and she ran off and ended up with Sesshomaru - I read that plot line ALL the time.

And the mark on the neck more than likely comes from the fact that most carnivorous species, esp. canines, tend to bite the neck while mating (at least I got something from Bio 1).

Thanks. I guess the reason I didn't know about the neck thing is 'cause in my school I take band all year so I can't any other class,ex. home ec, bio, gym, etc.

WoW! I went there before! I had no idea it was your site! (It's in my favorites. )

Yes,I do absolutely adore Sesshomaru! I went around through so many anime that I even have a Bishonen list:

top 5 only:
Sesshomaru
Hotohori(Fushi Yuugi)
Yue(Card Capter Sakura)
Crono(Chrno Crusade)
Mushrambo(Shinzo)

See the pattern? no? They all have long hair, and narrow eyes! It's excatly what I like in my bishonen! Nice site! :)
