I gotta admit I still like the show but COME ON! A little plot development wouldn't hurt. Maybe she meets a shut-in boy? Or finds a friend hidden under the bathroom sink. There's so much potential for hilarious antics if they expand the cast!

They do in the manga eventually. I don't think the series is gonna get to that, though, at least not this season.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

In the manga I no idea it was the festival committee chairman who was in that costume! But d'aww ;__; that was so nice of her! I don't even like hugs but sometimes I really want to run up to Tomoko and give her a hug because I feel like she's the type who needs one so it's nice to see her get some love in the show.
