Melted down Greed and sorta held him within himself for the time being. until he put him into Ling.

Like i said, it was in Japanese..and Japanese isn't that easy to translate.. > >
umm.. wrote:What i explained is what i remember from it. If i remember correctly, that dude that looked like Hohenheim wasn't really Hohenheim.. The guy talked like he had never met him or something..and i remember Ed saying it wasn't him..though i'm still not sure...
And actually, what i remember about the homonculus's birth is that a homonculus is created when a human transmutation goes wrong. Like..Ed and Al created Sloth by accident when they tried to bring their mom back, and Izumi created Wrath when she tried to bring her baby back, ect. But in order for that human transmutation to become a complete homonculus, it would need to shards of the crimson elixer or the philosopher's stone (basically it needs an energy source to create itself from..).
But L.Hohenheim defied that. He went around those rules. He didn't perform a human transmutation since Ling was still alive when he changed him. All he did was use a small bit of what may be the philosopher's stone to morph him into another being.
I also noticed that neither L.Hohenheim nor the real Hohenheim need a circle or even to clap their hands together to use Alchemy..which still puzzels me.. > >

This can all be explained quite simply: The Kishimoto Complex.
Y'see, that's when a creator goes nuts and kinda forgets about the world he/she created. So they start doing things that can be referred to simply as 'newbie'. These 'newbie' instances can go so far as to: alter a character's design, massive OOCness, change the rules that they had spent an entire series explaining, and can involve bending down and obeying the will of their fans to the point that it's not really their creation anymore. This also includes killing characters and randomly ressurecting them back to life, focusing on secondary characters rather than the main char for more than 3 chapters, and having a self insert* as a char.
Don't get me wrong. I wuvs FMA and shall always love it. And until I hear an actual reason as to why the creator made "Hoho Papa" so uberly powerful, this shall fall under the Kishimoto Complex.

* A self insert is an RP term that is used for newbie Rpers who create a character that's exactly like the person they want to be/focusing only on the attributes that the person loves about him/herself.

(where did the "Kishimoto" part come from?)
You're welcome!^^Tainted_Eden wrote:Ah, sorry, forgot to say. *applauds* I really appreciate your hard work to bring us that! ^.^ Glad to know that more than one series is going nuts! XDYunacat wrote:Like i said, it was in Japanese..and Japanese isn't that easy to translate.. > >

hold on...wait...im not sure about the manga, but im pretty sure about the anime, basically....
Possible Spoilers wrote:Hohopapa and Dante made a P.Stone for whatever reason, and they used its power to bind their souls to another, just like what Hohpapa said Al could do, and it could explain why Dante's new body is rotting probably, and she's using the homunculi to get a new stone since hers is gone or something. and about Hohopapa not needing a circle is my guess he has the power of the stone with him, just like Kimbley not needing to touch anything to blow it up like when he was fighting Scar.

Kishimoto is the creator for Naruto. And quite frankly, he's gone nuts. After the two year jump, the plot line, characters, and quite a few other things gets screwed up.
Possible Spoiler Reply wrote:Regardless, the beginning episodes told us that in order to do alchemy, you MUST have a transmutation circle. The Philosopher Stone is only to increase your power over alchemy, which basically is the circles.
Without the circles as your base, you can't perform alchemy correctly. It can be thought of like this: You don't just solve a complex math problem with only the last two advanced steps. You need the basics, like addition and subtraction, in order to properly solve it.
And about Kimbly I don't know. I haven't seen any new episodes. But what's above, in addition to Kimby, it sounds kinda like that the manga-ka is getting in over his head.... *will still be a fan though*

Scar broke it down back when he beat Ed/Al.
and now that i think of that episode, Scar is a big fat liar about his brothers death, and i swear, no joking either, his arm has the word cola on it, if i could post a screen cap you'd see what i mean.
So thats basically how it goes. and i really doubt anyone who doesn't know the basics could even start a human transmutation.Scar wrote:By clasping your hands, you make an array with your body and circulate the alchemic within, I know your secret, and without this sinful arm your cant use it to transmute quickly or use your calculator to solve your math problems quickly, DO IT THE LONG WAY!

I've just finished watching the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. Some people didn't like it, but screw them I loved it. Although the ending was not what I wanted (it was bittersweat) it was still a really good ending to a great series. I loved all of the real world history that they've encorpored into it as well as some litearary references as well. The movie was well worth the wait to me.

My friend was supposed to mail me the movie.. and she never did...
Oh, i see. Yeah, i completely get what you mean. Kishimoto's first story was Naruto, so give him a little room.. I really like his art though! ^^Tainted_Eden wrote:Kishimoto is the creator for Naruto. And quite frankly, he's gone nuts. response to spoiler wrote:Yeah, like.. take this simple algebra problem for instance.
2X + 5 = 20
You're not gonna be able to clap your hands together and immediately know what the answer is without working it out, right?
2X + 5 = 25
2X = 20
X = 10
So the parts in between that solve the problem are like the circles in Alchemy.
That's what you mean, ne?

XD For those confused, the mention of the calculator was me trying to show you that alchemy can't be done without basics.
And yes! Yunacat got it. I forget if Shanko got it too, but I shall congradulate you nonetheless.
