it was sad at his funeral where his daughter was like "why are they burying daddy", her lack of understanding and cute voice really did it.
anyway, in a weird way, since Scar left, the show kinda lost its badass feeling to it, now its just like its rushing to wrap it up.

Remember way earlier when the little girl Nina got fused with Alexander, her dog, into a Chimera? Then Scar killed her.. I almost cried then too...

You saw the most recent ep, right? (btw, their name is spelt "Elric").dual dragoon wrote: On the last episode i saw i was kinda confused about the Elricks dad please explain.
Just in case some ppl haven't seen it yet..:
Hope that helps.. ( i got confused too.. @_@ ..but i figured it out^^ )info/spoiler wrote:Hohenheim, Ed and Al's dad, is over 400 years old. Back 400 years ago, he tried to create a Philosopher's Stone and died, but Dante saved him by acting on instinct and putting his soul in another person's body. Dante and Hohenheim have been body jumping since then, and now Dante has Lyra's body (not sure bout Hohenheim). They were in love in the past, till they ended up seperating. Hohenheim eventually fell in love with Trisha Elric, Ed and Al's mom, and after Ed and Al turned a certain age, he disappeared again. But he's back. There are hints here and there that Hohenheim posesses a Philosipher's Stone. Dante's new body is rotting because she doesn't have a stone, and Hohenheim seems fine (well..there was one scene that could shake that idea..when, in the past, they showed Hohenheim's shoulder and it seemed odd..). Dante made the Homonculus so that she could create another stone, and she's been using everybody up to this point.

For all you Harry Potter Fans out there, this may also give some insight into things:
Spoiler wrote:There's a great deal of speculation about Hohenheim, and his relation to this world. He alludes to, or rather blatantly states, his travelling from world to world several times, including our own. This "planeshifting" for lack of a better term, lends to many interesting theories, one concerning that of Nicholas Flammel. People may jump on me for naming a Harry Potter character, but the truth is, Flammel DID exist, in the late 1500s to mid 1600s to be exact, and is credited to have actually created the Philosopher's Stone after recieving a book which supposedly belonged to Abraham the Jew (see Genesis if you have no idea what I'm talking about). Many people speculate that Flammel actually was Hohenheim, after he traveled to our universe, and created the stone here under that guise. Others believe that Hohenheim confided within Flammel the secrets to creating the stone, even in our world. Still others claim that it was, in fact, Hohenheim's notes that he had acquired, Hohenheim using the pen-name "Abraham the Jew" so as to conceal his identity, the same way Alchemists code their own research - Mustang, for instance, writes all his notes in a little black book and uses the names, telephone numbers, and their addresses of cute girls as a code.

[Kalium: Tag fixed.]Spoiler wrote:Honenhiem actually stated the reason both of their bodies were slowly decaying. It wasn't because Dante didn't posses a philosipher's stone. He said that event hough they could jump from body to body eventually any body they jumped to would result in rapid deteriation over time. Apparently after moving so much even the soul begins to deteriate. As a body moves from one body to another, it must pass by or through the gate. By doing so a little peice of a person's soul is lost in the gate. Eventually after moving so much the whole soul is lost and the stone has no power to retrieve it back. Ed's father saw this in bed with Trisha. He told Dante this and she went into denial stating she would just continue jumping from one body to another.

Ooooooooooh, both of the new spoiler tags make total sense.... And that's really intersting tie with the Harry Potter/real world thing. XD Yay! The creator of FMA has redeemed his/herself from the Kishimoto Complex... Somewhat!
