InuYasha's three sides are another aspect of what make him an interesting character.

The human part of him (seen on the night of the new moon) is compassionate and very willful. It is this part of him that feels the most love for Kagome, and expresses himself a lot more to everyone. In this form, he is also brash and quick to fight, ready to die protecting his friends ... sometimes a little too overprotective.

The other side of the coin, the all-demon InuYasha, is very powerful (just as he knew it would be). However, in this form he doesn't care about anything or anyone -- even his family and friends. In this form, despite whatever resistance he could put up, it's certain that he could pretty much kill Kagome or Kikyo without hesitation. If he were to have used the Jewel of the Four Souls to become this form permanently, as he wanted to ... then he was a very foolish being, indeed.

Both of these aspect combine and collide within him all the time. If he were to get the Jewel of Four Souls now, though, he's had more than enough time as an all-demon to pretty much think it's not what it's cracked up to be. That he would rather become at least half-demon (if not all-human) is indication of that.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now here is an interesting question:

Kagome and InuYasha require the Jewel (or shard thereof) to use the Well of Souls to travel between the two time periods.

If the Jewel is fully-formed, and used to drive out the evil in one being soul (as was InuYasha's original intention), the the Jewel would be completely purified and as Kikyo has said, "would disappear from the world".

So ... what were to happen if Kagome used her spiritual power to do that for InuYasha? Would the Jewel disappear, and her only way home be barred forever? Or would they travel back to the present and use it there, living the rest of their lives in Kagome's time?

More to the point, think of the influences. They have friends in the past -- Miroku, Shippo, Sango, Kaede, and others. Kagome has her family and school friends in the future (although, her friends might eventually start distancing themselves from her, since she spends so much time in the past).

In the past or the present ... if you had the choice, where would you believe Kagome and InuYasha belong?

Man, that's a tough one. Inuyasha can apparently travel pretty freely from one time to the other but Kagome can only go from the Feudal era to home without the jewel.

I don't think Kagome would want to leave her family, but she wouldn't want to leave her friends either. And maybe Inuyasha wouldn't be able to use the well if he became all human.

:? :( :?:

Man, this is a tough one. I wonder if Takahashi-san is having the same dilema.

Her present friends distancing themselves? yeah right, they're always on her about her "mean" boyfriend.

anyway, it would probably something like Kagome gaining some awesome spiritual power that she no longer needs the jewel shard to travel just like Inu Yasha, who would remain a half demon since its his only way of using his sword.

OR maybe it'll be something like him going full human and giving up his sword to make a permenant tunnel way for them travel since(if im right), his sword has some kind of power related to the jewel shards and its barrier cutting attack breaking away the barrier between times.

I like what Shanko says but I think he would just stay a hanyou because what if there was a youkai attack? Kagome only has so many arrows even thou she does have priestess powers,Sango and Miroku can't be with them for the rest of their lives, and shippo still has a long way to go. My best bet is he'll stay a hanyou and they'll go back and forth through a portal like Shanko said,InuYasha will die his hair and ears black(don't ask about hiding the ears  )Kagome and family will create him a past life, birthday, etc.

Also, I had this idea coming to here to post it:

Do you think if the InuTachi ever left Japan and went to America(on Hachi or Kirara)they would experience the world wars? OR If they got involved in other history type junk that happened in Japan.

EXAMPLE:Nobunaga & Hideyoshi like they said in ep11.

I dunno, but I'm betting it's filler. ~.~ *sigh* There's been a lot of fillers lately. No wonder the show ended. (Was it Takahashi-san or the animators who got tired of the show?)

yeah but its the kind of filler that has something to do with someone who did something somewhat worth wild, not just like something dumb like when Hachi was screwing around as Miroku.

I can certainly say that even though this episode was just a filler, it was pretty damn funny, the only thing that would of made it worth it, is Sango landing one on Inu Yasha, there hasn't been one that funny since Myoga being hitched.
