Whatever it was it was still rude.. > > He/she never even supplied why or what was overrated.. > >

Wow. 40 volumes and counting. That's got the be the longest series I've ever heard of. (Well, except maybe Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was the show that wouldn't die. ) How many of those have been translated? I think the library here has up into the 20s.
Only about 25 have been translated as of what i know.. (i could be wrong..)

And it's definately not the longest series i've heard of. The longest one i know of is Meitantei Conan/Detective Conan/Case Closed. It goes into volumes in the 60s or 70s or so or something.. o_O (it hasn't stopped either!)

Wow. Really? Coolness! I like Detective Conan, too! I haven't read the manga but I tried to watch the anime when Cartoon Network had it. And kept switching the time around so no one could figure out when it was on. Then canceled it because of poor rating. Grrrrr.

There are 25 translated volumes and the library has 25 volumes. Cool! The full translated set! :D

Tenshi, even though your library doesn't have manga or anime I bet you could make a special offer. There are usually forms at the reference desk for requesting books the library doesn't own. (It's a great system. I've used it a few times myself when I couldn't get a particular book. And sometimes the library even buys the book later on after returning the one they borrowed from another system!)
I am a rabid Inuyasha fangirl! Fear me!

Cool. I wish my library had volumes 20+ because i can't afford to continue the manga series (i have too many manga to keep up with already.. @_@)

( And btw, Meitantei Conan was canceled for a few reasons. It was canceled becasue there are 400+ episodes, and the ratings weren't good enough to keep it on TV. It's still coming out on DVD though, and it's still being translated, it's just not on TV anymore.. > >
At least IY is still on TV. I thought for sure that the ratings for it were gonna go down because of how old it got and with the accomplishments of Fullmetal Alchemist and a few of the other AS shows. )
