Naruto will boycot ninetails for sage energy.
I was just thinking, is it possible that itachi did not kill his best friend?
Itachi hated fighting and death, so is it possible that he obtained the mangekyou sharingan some other way -like kakashi did?
I'm curious for Kishi-sensei to further elaborate on Kakashi's secrets.

I pwn't kishi.76 wrote:So, just to make sure I'm straight; Sasuke is going to destroy the leaf to avenge his brother's death, right?
Or is he going to destroy them for the utter destruction of his own clan?
Because it was the leaf who ordered Itachi to destroy his clan, which in turn caused his own death.

The sage-chakra is a total give-away for the ending though!
Sasuke will use his EMS to control the fox and rip it from Naruto's body, then he'll boycot the nine-tails for sage-chakra and pwn Sasuke once-again!
BTW
It is possible that there is an anomaly in Sasuke's EMS, as his eye bled during Amaturasu, meaning that his vision is still taking damage from using the technique.
Or was I entirely mistaken from even assuming his was an EMS? As he did not gouge-out his brother's eyes to get it?

Is it possible that Itachi did not give Sasuke the Mangekyou? Perhaps it was the shock from losing his 'closest friend'(itachi) that did it?
Yes, I know, 'But Narutard is his best friend!'. No, you see, Naruto was closure Sasuke found after losing his family to the man he thought to be his perfect idol. It was probably the ability to use Amatarasu that Itachi gave him. Not the sharingan itself.
Sasuke's Sharingan is not EMS.
Another theory: Is it possible; that to obtain the mangekyou sharingan, Kakashi put himself into a genjutsu that constantly ran him through the day he lost Obito? This would trigger the emotional response needed to obtain the mangekyou sharingan.

I very much doubt this will be the end of Naruto. Well...it will be the end of the "Naruto" series, but I think the ninja manga will go on. More than likely the next series will be set a few years in the future and follow the next generation of ninjas. Several times characters have made mention of the fact that ever generation seems to surpass the one before it. I personally would love to see what the next set can do.
But the best part about a series set several years later is seeing them grow up surrounded by the ninjas that we know so much about. We never really knew much about the various Hokages except for some of their more major achievements. But if Naruto were to take over as Hokage, I would love to see some snot-nosed brat whine and complain that Naruto is just giving his team crappy C-ranked missions (now why does that sound familiar?). Or see Renji leading a team on what they think is a C-ranked mission which turns out to be an A or S-ranked mission like Kakashi did.
There is plenty of room for the series to continue on. But, like everything else, it just has to be done right. There may not be enough problems left to keep the series interesting, or on the other hand there might be loads of them that we have so far only caught brief glimpses of.
