OH man, has Nickelodeon gone downhill! I remember when they used to have GOOD original shows:

Pete & Pete
You Can't Do That On Television
Salute Your Shorts
Are You Afraid of the Dark

They even had Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. Good stuff, entertaining, and some nice in-jokes.

Then they revived Rugrats, overhyped and marketed it, and created the fantastic display of bad... Spongebob.

There was hope with Invader Zim, but Nick is just too stupid to realize when they have something good!

I'm just glad that people NOT at Nick realize the goodness of anime and are making more efforts to get it stateside. Without Toonami, Adult Swim, and recently 4Kids (anyone smart enough to release uncut Shaman King deserves a nod of approval), then things on animation on US TV would be pretty bleak!

hmm...a random discussion fused by a random comment...isn't the thread suppose to pay the due respect to yu yu hakusho instead of criticizing the extreme error in judgement made by the Nickelodeon people? not to mention the stupidity and extreme corniness of most of its shows...and the seemingly funny but incidentally very shallow humor from the spongebob series...

seem to have been carried away a little there...well strictly stay on topic and maybe start a new thread on the incompetence of nick?

Okay... back to the topic. Yu Yu Hakusho is quite awesome and really does kick a lot of ass.

I find it odd, yet neat though, that the guy who created Yu Yu Hakusho married the lady who created Sailor Moon.

Had to add this: yeah, Kuwabara is not the smartest character, but he's a man of honor, loyal to his teammates, brave to the point of stupidity, and willing to help the weak/wounded even if it's an enemy (as in the Sensui arc), and he and Yukina make a cute couple. I find it interesting also that he wears an old fashioned fundoshi (loincloth thing) like samurai in the Maze Castle episodes (though by the Dark Tournament he's switched to briefs). Kuwabara, Kurama and Hiei are my favorite characters.

I love Yu Yu Hakusho.I saw almost all of the episodes, but then Cartoon Network had to cut it out, but anyway i'm a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho, thats one of my favorite anime, it kickes ASS!
