Ep 4: Maria going apeshit psycho bitchcakes is definitely appealing to my twisted side. :D
The one legged space chicken is after me again.

Personally I find Maria exceptionally annoying. Pyscho loli's are fine but they need to be doing something. Up to now she's only been on the side being cryptic and laughing at odd situations.

Also, Ep5 just threw a torque wrench into a show I had generally been liking up to now...
Spoiler :
Just as things started to make sense with the letters and the epitaph the story takes a 90 degree turn in a different direction forcing many more questions than answers. So it seems like Beatrice needs Battler to believe in her in order to exist physically. Yet the fact he is talking to her doesn't count???

Assuming she doesn't exist and Battler is right, does that mean the last scene with Battler is a figment of his imagination? What about the last scene with the two witches? How then did the family get its wealth? If someone really is behind the killing, then my guess involves Kanon.

Other questions:
What does Maria's message in the bottle say? Looked like a long message...
If Beatrice can not get into the study, how did the grandfather's supposed body end up in the basement?
Not sure I like the direction this is going..
I enjoyed Higurashi Ni and Kai after I could get past the repetition so I'm willing to give this a chance, but for the most part I'll be watching out of curiosity... :?

Is it just me, or the girls' (except Maria of course) breasts gotten bigger in this episode?

ITT: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS BULLSHIT?
There's breaking the fourth wall, and then there's this. If I weren't a Higurashi fan, this would be an insta-drop after what I've seen today.
It is going to have a tough time redeeming itself after this bullshit.

I was thinking about picking this back up out of curiosity but probably not now =/...

@Ish - I think you should make one of those "What I watched - What I was expecting - What I got" pics.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Yeah, this is where it gets... Weird.

And the murders become significantly more gruesome.

This show is definitely crazy, in a "When Cicadas Cry" pattern.

I'm lovin' it. I also like the hero's uncanny abilities of perversion that a majority of anime protagonists don't utilize. Carrot Glace and Dark Schneider being the only ones I remember off hand... whoa...

Is it a sequel? or am I misinformed? The two shows are too damn similar.

Though I gotta say a CLUE game light bulb went off in my head....

"YOU KILLED FATHER, IN THE STUDY, WITH THE CANDLESTICK HOLDER!"

Sheesh, how low can ya go? ^_^
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV
