True, it had quite a sad "happy ending" if that at all makes sense. Well it still followed through with the anime style and atmosphere, especially with the feeling you get at the ending of the series. That could be a good or bad thing depending on how you felt about the series ending.
Here are my thoughts on the ending...

Spoiler wrote:Some people might not have wanted the traditional "happy ending" as FMA wasnt that type of a sereis, but in this particular instance i'd say BRING ON THE HAPPINESS!!!
After all they've been through in the series, the separation of Ed and Al for 3 years...to me it would have been so nice if everyone found each other once again. Dont they deserve some happiness!? That was so sad how Winry was left alone in their world while Ed and Al stayed to live in ours. Sure she still has the other secondary characters with her, but what of the brothers she cared so much about!?
They should have all remained in Shamballa with Ed taking Noa with them, showing her the wonders of their world.
While the ending wasnt my ideal ending, I was about to throw a fit when Ed told Al he was going back to our world to destroy the gate on his own! I was like you have to be kidding me! It'll end up exactly like the end of the series. Well they stepped it up a level with Ed and Al being together at leats they can now see the potential happiness for the characters that lost their lives in Shamballa (i.e the alternate reality version of Hughes, Scar and Lust)

Ya the ending was good and yet i still think the whole reason the anime was made was to make everyone appriciate what you already have. As you should not just look over the daily things you do and who your with cuz every day is a gift itself.
The Sword is what i live by as long as it protects me in return.

while a fight the urge to just d/l the damn thing because that spoiler got me thinking about it, theres just two things i wanna know.
Possible Spoiler Questions wrote:1. Is Scar's real name revealed? since he apparently cant be named Scar since it was an alchemist who gave it to him.
2. Since Lust isn't a Homunculi, what does she look like and does she have a real name?
Life is but a dream.....So what happens when you wake up?

possible spoilers wrote:1. Nope, 'fraid not.. I haven't seen any sign of it.. > >
2. Lust is a homunculous, but in the anime, she changes so much that she appears to have her own heart. In her previous life, she looked just like herself as a homunculous, except she had red eyes, tanned skin, and brown hair. In the manga, she's still as evil as ever. > >
Super Shanko wrote:I saw that little Chinese girl, im amazed she's such a powerful alchemist considering she's even smaller that Ed(amazingly enough) which makes her cute because she can kick ass.
possible spoilers wrote:Mei is cool! She's only 10 and she's already so good at alchemy!^^ Her first appearance is funny! XD
Ling's first appearance is funny too. He practically eats Ed's money up!! ( he asked for something to eat and he ate ALOT XD ). What was funny was Al was crouched down in the corner, Ed looks at him and says "You're probably picking up a cat again..". Al picks up Ling (who had collapsed) and says "Yep!" XD

To answer your question...
Spoiler wrote:No, you dont find out Scar's name, and alteranate reality Scar and Lust dont play an important role in the movie, they just make an amusing brief appearance. But yea..Lust just looks like,well....like Lust's memories of herslef in the series, when she was a woman from Isbal. Though in the movie i cant remember if she had red eyes, she probably just had brown.

I mean't that too.. The anime and movie are so tied, and if i had ment something else, say "His name is told in the movie!" then i woulda mentioned it.. but yeah^^;;Super Shanko wrote:Thanks for the info, but i meant for Lust/Scar on the other side of the gate, on the movie.
My friend is gonna lend me the movie so i can actually get the chance to watch it!^^ (i've only seen a lil of it as a preview..)
