I watched the cosplay performances. Now thems is what I call some hardcore Haruhiists.

Yeah, actually what happened was, the audio tech (being a Haruhi fan himself) played the karaoke of the TV version (which was of course shortened). However, somewhere along the line, it ended and the girls were just, "aww, we wanted to do the full thing," and just somehow got a chance to do it all over again... -_-Warpwind wrote:They went on for ages too. Did they do the song twice or something?
Hush you!Warpwind wrote:Hah I remember that. The costumes were cool, the singing... less so. Although what I found truely amusing was infinity_squared dashing out of the storage room we were in (behind the theater) like his pants were on fire to watch this.

Heh, if someone tells me there's a pretty good 'Haruhi Suzumiya in a bunnysuit' cosplay at this con, I'd rush to see it. Unfortunately for me, Kawaii Kon is months away. Now, a good 'Mikuru Asahina in a bunnysuit' cosplay would be worth travelling to a non-local con for...Infinity Squared wrote:Hush you!Warpwind wrote:Hah I remember that. One thing that I quite adored about their cosplay group was the fact that throughout the con, prior to their cosplay skit, the Haruhi of the group was actually walking around dressed in the normal school uniform, so when she went in the bunny girl outfit, it was definitely a surprise.
Heck, they ran through the backstage area where Warpwind and I, as well as other AMVers were "jamming" and you tell me, wouldn't you come running out to the theatre if you saw this bunny girl running past you?

Sorry for the double post, and the abrupt posting and such, but forgot to add a few things to add on for the convo and such. It kinda reminds me of my junior high days, without the whole alien thing type deal and such. That part kinda reminds me of earlier days in school. Third grade to be exact.8bit_samurai wrote:... I agree for the most part.Otohiko wrote:...stuff about the show
... Also, a nice break from the other stuff I been watching. But then I'm only on 4, or was it 3? 7? something...
As for the cosplayers singing, I think I hafta check it out, I actually enjoyed them dancing towards the end, for some odd reason : /

You're too early! Glad you're enjoying it, but save the good compliments for later on in the show - as others said to me when I was watching it, for all the good stuff early on, I think the best content is towards later in the series.8bit_samurai wrote:...stuff about the show
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I had my own little Haruhi freakout today, for those who hadn't noticed:
