i mean come on. it (at this point i don't know if it's a she or a he) looks like some 5 year-old drew it. but the rest of Hellsing was excellent. it leaves you with things to think about.

if you guys didn't like it, why did you watch it to the very end?
To determine if there were any saving moments that would clear up the world of poop it made us endure. Besides, some of us have the Action Channel and nothing better to watch 'til 2am.
It wasn't god awful, but it wasn't that impressive either. Pretty average for something with so much hype. But then, almost ALL anime is some how really hyped up, even if it sux the donkeys scrotum.

Hellsing anime was superb, especailly the 3 first episodes. But the ending was also great, maybe not a perfect ending but great episodes. Furthermore, Dragonball Z is one of the greatest anime as far as just fighting goes, unless you're watcing the english version.

i've never seen it in japanese, but i don't want to since the english version ruined it for me...

Anyway, that is really off topic. why does alucard say "situation A/B" when he is using his powers? And why alucards hair legnth significantly change from episode 1 to episode 13?

In the first episode it looks like he has short hair that comes down a bit, but in the last episode (before he uses his powers) when his head starts talking in a pool of his own blood, it's really long, but not nearly as long as it was in episode 7, when the same thing happened (when he was decapitated). does his change in hair length have ANYTHING to do with alucard being dracula?

Yes, yes it does. As everyone knows, Dracula had hair, and it had the amazing ability to grow in between chapters in Bram Stokers Dracula.

are you serious? cuz that means that alucard is dracula. there is no doubt that he isn't anymore, if this is true.

 No, I'm not being serious. But Alucard is still Dracula. I'm surprised that you still don't think that he is.

Have you heard of artistic interpertation? Or fantasy? Or fiction? If you've noticed, Bram Stoker didn't freakin' write the story for Hellsing. And then let me ask you the same thing, have you read "Dracula?" Because if you have, I"m really wondering why you asked this:

Ah Dracula.... yep, I just finished reading it. I'm an extremely slow reading but over the last 1 & 1/3 days I finished the 19 chapters that I had left. I also watched he movie (the 1992 one) although that had a pretty darn different theme. And geeze, Lucy, Mina, and Dr. Van Helsing all had their characters completely changed, or atleast ruined. It was a great horror movie, but while many events where the same between the movie and the book, the themes and characters where as far as could be.

Anyway, don't most people think that Van Helsing killed Dracula? It seems that I remember whenever a "Hellsing connected to Van Helsing?" thread someone mentions that Proffessor Van Helsing killed Dracula, but unless Bram did multiple endings to Dracula, Van Helsing didn't kill Dracula, and although he was the major influence in the events that led to the killing of Dracula, had the true killers of Dracula (I beleive it was Jonathan off with the head and Seward through the heart) Van Helsing almost surely would have been killed because Dracula would have been risen by the fallen sun and all would be lost.

Anyway... I don't know what else I can say. I also recall someone saying that Dracula didn't die in the book, which definetly isn't true. Although, they didn't fill his mouth with garlic, but Van Helsing said that if they seperated the head from the body he couldn't reincarnate.

Anyway.... as for Hellsing - Alucard - Dracula, yeah I think the intent is clearly that he is Dracula. Everything points to that direction. And a lot of stuff is consistent with the book even if a lot of stuff isn't. I guess in Hellsing's universe, since Vampires are a good bit harder to kill than in Stoker's case, honorable Dr. Van Helsing captured Dracula and then following was whatever else happened after that.
