I don't know if there have been other Greeds. From his relationship with Dante and how long he's been out of circulation, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that he's the first and only Greed.

maybe dante wanted an experimental partner after she saw the effect of the human transmutation of her own son, she saw his abilitys to change and experimented on greed and thats how he came to be, that may also explain his hate toward her, and vise-versa

If you notice before Greed also mentions that it's interesting that there is another homunculi other than him who can use alchemy. (He is refering to wrath)

are you saying that greed can do alchemy or that he was tlaking about wrath, saying that wrath is the new "homunculi alchemist"?

He is refering to wrath as the new homunculi other than himself who can use alchemy.

Greed mentions something about how long its been when he wakes up. I think it was quiet sometime if I remember. (It would place him before the previous creation of a stone I think.)

Anyone remember the exact amount of time?

If Greed could do alchemy he would have seen his own end coming. Each Homunculi have their own talent. His is stone like skin.

(I believe Wrath loses his alchemical power with the loss of Ed's limbs.)

greed can't use alchemy

still havent seen the movie, but I figured out that it was alphonse the second time I saw the commercial

I've read/own all the volumes of the manga, and to my knowlage, Greed never out and out says that he can use alchemy. It's sorta implied that his Ultamate Sheild is done via alchemy, i think...
