Kuwabara is a likable character. I rele like the big guy. But i watch the show cuz it's funny, action packed, esp funny, n just too good to miss. The cute bishies are just a bonus to me.. lol
I drew Hiei..it's a old pic to me but i like it..it came out pretty good..and it's chibi

Yeah...I watch YYH because of the story too. However, I did not start watching from the first episode. I just switched on the T.V one day and it (YYH) was on so I watched it and it was good! [I think the tournament was on at that time but I've seen all the episodes I missed...it came again]
The storyline is pretty good though I don't have any favourite character from there. I like all anime which have humour in them and YYH does have quite a lot of it!!!

It was sometime around midnight and I was channel flipping. Suddenly I run into some cartoon with a bunch of guys and a seriously curveless girl about to get crushed by a collapsable ceiling.
I actually kept flipping, but I came back several times and eventually realized that the girl was actually a guy.
That was after I found Inuyasha, but before I found what that series was called. After discovering that little bit of info and watching IY for several weeks I rediscovered the mystery series in an afternoon slot. This time I dropped partway into the first Yukina episode.
The character who really got me interested at first was Yusuke. He seemed like a nice guy, under all that posturing. Reminded me a lot of Inuyasha, actually. I wasn't really sure what to make of Kurama until CN reran the episode where he tells Yusuke about his past.
So, anyway, I like all the YYH guys, the plot, the action, and Genkai. She is one tough senior citizen.
I just happen to like playing with my tendencies toward fangirliness.

I didn't even know who those characters were until i watched the Poltergeist Report: Invader From Hell....actually, i didn't even like Kurama and Hiei at the beginning. Kurama looked too feminin and Hiei was.....odd. It was only after when I read up on both characters, including Kuwabara, that they appeared more in depth. It didn't look it at first, cause their first impressions on me weren't that good. What caught my interest the most in the YYH series is the fighting. That's mostly why i watch the anime, cause of the fighting. There a bit of romance thrown in and a lot of humour that's added in, which makes it a good anime. I got into YYh not solely cause of the bishis, it's nice to have them there, but the storyline isn't all about them.
Just cause we talk more about Kurama and Hiei doesn't mean that we forget about other characters that are as interesting as those two. It just so happens that the thread continues in this direction. It's not like we can't differentiate between manga world and reality. Like what Brigid said, it's more interesting to talk about a "guy" that we know about, even if they are 2-D drawings, than to talk about some real dude whom we know nothing about.
Either way, it's just a topic, no need to get all up front and personal. I mean, we're all here to talk about YYH, why get all worked up about something as futile as "fangirlyness over bishis annoys the hell out of me" kind of thing. There's no point in doing that, unless an argument about why this is a good thing is what you're looking for. We're here to have fun...not to argue, you say what you want to say, but don't make it sound like we, as a group, are too stupid or shallow to be unable to talk about anything else other than a cartoon guy's ass.

*clap**clap**clap* Well said. ^_^
I really did wonder about Kurama at first. For a while I thought I wouldn't like the series because they had such an oddly feminine looking guy. Then I saw Yusuke kicking demon hieny and thought "cool beans! This is my kinda series!" And it isn't the kind of mindlessness I ran into with DBZ, either. Gosh, the bits I saw of that were awful.

I quite agree. When you watch DBZ, you have this little thought running through your head "What's going on?????????" and a huge sweatdrop running down your forehead ^^;
I mean, sometimes you automatically assume that a guy with long hair will be feminine, but it just so happens that Kurama isn't that kind of guy......which is a good thing.......i seriously can't imagine a girly-Kurama^^;

Hot ... headed...
Yeah. Dad actually thinks Kurama is the scariest one of the lot. You can pretty much tell what the others are going to do. Direct frontal assault with maybe a crazy twist. Usually involving blowing something up.
But Kurama! He thinks, he's able to get into his opponent's head and mess around until finally finishing him off. And he's really hard to read. That fight against, who was it, Rinko I think, at the beginning of the Dark Tournament. Remember? The guy who made the fatal mistake of threatening Kurama's mom? Oh man. Favorite Kurama moment bar none. Sooo creapy.
