About 3,000 years of experience reading people will do that. I think what really annoys Hiei is how Kurama teases him about it. (What'd he expect? Kurama's a fox.)

Phew, I'm ok now.
Anyway, my friend Ross is bringing Poltergeist Report (which I have not seen) into Anime Club next Wednesday. Anyone here seen it? Is it worth it?
I'll be sure to tell you all what I thought of it.
Ja!
*ninja vanish!*
"Well, it appears we've found a maze in Maze Castle"- Hiei.
Wow...didn't see that comin'.

Just avoid the dub of it, though the subtitles are pretty bad as well. "KuwaHara" Jao Ensatsu Rengokusho is translated as "Eat this, hell-scum!" (they obviously didn't know it was an attack name)shadowninjagirl wrote:Must...not...make...obvious...joke... *deep breath*Brigid wrote:About 3,000 years of experience reading people will do that. The movie itself, just ok, it's mostly like a DBZ plot really but it's the better of the two movies.

"KuwaHara"? That sounds like the Hong Kong bootleg sub. Definitely a no go. Though I've run into a few fan subs that were pretty smelly, too.
(There was this one, not a YYH, that started out okay, but then the spelling and grammar errors got more frequent and the titles more sporadic until there was no subbing whatsoever.)
I've heard mixed things about the movies, but I haven't had a chance to see them, so I can't really say. If your good at reading and watching at the same time I'd say go with the subs. Dubbing is okay for those of us who can't speed read.

The dubbing company apparently mistranslated it, so it's in the english dub of the movie and in the subtitles.Brigid wrote:"KuwaHara"? That sounds like the Hong Kong bootleg sub. Definitely a no go. Though I've run into a few fan subs that were pretty smelly, too.

No, this isn't a bootleg, just the movie was gotten by a very inferior company. This isn't voices from the dub of TV series, not only does the translations suck the voices suck very badly as well. Try listening to Genkai's fight scene in english without cringing, it's impossible. And since that company is the only way to get the movie on DVD, definately stick with the sub, at least it's the same VAs. Other than mistranslating Hiei's attacks and Kuwabara's name it's do-able.

I must admit, I am now somewhat fearful.
Though I did used to watch TV with the closed captioning on (my mom made me stop), so I might be ok with the sub. But I guess we'll see.
But, no John Burgmeier as Kurama? That's a shame, I really admire his work. He also did the voice of Eyes Rutherford in the Spiral dub, and apparently, he really does have British accent. It's a bit more pronounced there then for Kurama, but it is still quite definitely the same voice.
It was a little surreal.
Anyway, my ex told me that he couldn't find a conclusive source on who does Yusuke's voice for the movie. Does anybody know? No big deal, I'm just kinda curious.
Ja.
*ninja...stroll-away*

both movies have horrible dubs why couldn't they keep the original funimation voices i can't believe that I saw the whole dubbed version first n then suddenly decided to change it to the subbed version at the end of the movie i even had it loud and had my little brother yelling at me. "CHANGE IT TO THE JAP VERSION!! THE ENGLISH VERSION IS GAY"
