I think that Scar having to kill the Nina( Beast) just added to the later blood feud between him and Ed. Shall should have been beaten to death by Ed in that episode.

Shau Tucker? Yeah, he deserved a serious smack down, but then what effect would it have on Ed? There are many reasons why revenge is frowned upon (at least by Christianity).

Anyway, he got his reward in the end. Man, is he demented.

yeah...totally insane

that reminds me-how come Scar was talking about his arm telling him alchemic things, like *touches Nina* "hm...you are both man and beast.....how do I know that?"
whats kainda funny is that Ed's 5'6", and he's taller than me. ............and he's called short..............*sigh*

I dont think he means like a demonicaly possessed hand telling him, but more like with Kimbley saying he can "feel" the chemical makeup, like for instance when he's seen touching something for the first time he takes a sec to destroy it then eventually goes to smashing it to bits, And when Ed's bashing on him he tells him how in adjust the arm alchemy when using it....Something like that.

It's gotta be rough having an arm full of souls. :? As well as creepy, weird, and just plain disturbing. (Scar's brother was a definite mental case. Another one for the phyco wards!)

Well, it didn't help that Scar's brother lost the woman he loved, and then felt responsible for the death of his entire people. I'd probably be a basket case at that point too.

Yeah, but like a said before, its like ironic that he brings back the love of his life who becomes super sexy lust only to lose his junk. :P

which volume of the manga does the anime veer off from the plot at. I like the anime but i want to follow the real story in the manga.
Purity is wackable!

It doesn't so much veer as drift, actually, and the differences are apparent early on. (For one thing, the mess at Lab 5 happens a lot earlier in the manga and isn't nearly as disasterous.)

Manga it drifts about.....when greed dies....like...vol 7ish.

though there are many important differences earlier on.

i love the anime...but after reading the manga (and still drooling over the chapter which comes out every month) the anime is nothing to me compared to the manga.

the manga is...20 times better. i know people say that...but trust me...the storyline is so much better and different...and have NO PLOT HOLES...unlike the anime. its my bible. and ive been into anime for about...well since i could watch TV.
