Mm, by the way, it seems Gendo was never meant to recieve Adam. In the director's cut, Kaji makes it clear that the purpose of his trip to Japan was to smuggle Adam. It makes sense, then, that Gendo would implant it into his hand. Ups the inseperable-ness factor a bit.

It's directly stated in episode 22 that the Eva experiments caused her to become insane.

I believe Rei was an Angel, Kaowaru was and so is Rei. That's who registered as an Angel at the last moment before they lost communication with the last official angel (Kaowaru).

But I'm not sure if Rei is a clone or has Lillith's soul, she does however say "Tadaima" "I'm home" before she merges. It's also why that string looking angel looks like Rei when it moves over Shinji. And then Eva 00 looks like Rei before it blows up.

Also I don't think Rei merging with Lillith is what caused the 3I, I think it was also the combination of her pulling Adam into herself before doing it. Remember Gendo shoving his hand into her heart, same hand that had Adam in it.

Also, I'm not sure, but I've always believed Naoko was in 00. I would like to know how this has been debunked. She could have done test with 00 and went insane like Asuka's mom.

I can't remember my reference but I believe 00 and 01 were made from Lillith, not just 01. The only evidence I can say is before 2nd Rei blew up,the entire eva turns into energy looking Rei, just like in EoE when rei merges with Lillith.

Unit 00 defenetily wasnt made of Lilith, its stated that Unit 01 is diferent tto 00 and 02, in the fact that it was made of lilith (somewhere in eva.......)

Rrei was part Yui Ikari (dna sampling) and part Lilith, hence the look of Yui, also when she returns to lilith, Welcome Home appears....... if we link this to what Kawaro says, Those made of adam must return to adam, we can also assume the same of lilith..........

the welcome home I thought was what Lillith says. Tadaima is what you say when you are returning home. But I still think Rei taking part of adam into herself, had something to do with it.

and yea I wasn't sure about the 00 part, I forgot.

I have not read ANY ogf this thread... and so I apologize for repeating anything that was said before...

but all the EVAs were made from Lillith...

The reason Unit 01 was different from Units 00 and 02 was because Units 00 and 02 had computer brains (which used the same technology as the MAGI computers... brain-like computers that made use of human imprint), but EVA 01 had the actual essence of Yui within it... making it more than a human imprint on a computer.

It is impossible for the EVAs to have been made from Adam, based on the series continuity.

Of course, the more important thing is that you have to go to the designs themselves. You see, in the actual story of Lillith, Lillith was the mother of all demons... and the designs for EVAs units 00, 01 and 02 were all based on the descriptions of her first three children.
